Items are placed on pallets and completed orders are moved to the loading dock staging area with an electric pallet jack/forklift, wrapped, labeled, and readied for shipment in a timely manner observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company. **Position Responsibilities:** + Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately. + Review work schedule, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations. Perform a safety check on pallet jack/forklift to be used and insure that all other safety devices are functioning properly. Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear. + Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines. + Place pallets on pallet jack and operate along assigned multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets. + Manually place the appropriate stock items on pallet from pick slots and racks as required. Use single and/or double pallets as directed. + Transport completed palletized customer order to shipping dock staging area. May be required to shrink-wrap pallet for staging. + Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries, or attach re-charger and complete vehicle inspection checklist. Requirements 1st Shift 7am-3:30pm Job Summary The Order Selector is responsible for filling customers' grocery orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity. The Order Selector is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled. Essential Job Functions Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is shipped Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms Tag or mark orders as requested Repack orders when necessary Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage Stock product in pick slots Conduct physical inventories as required Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and complies with OSHA and MSDS Standards Meet company standards for productivity Is regular in attendance and complies with the Company Attendance Policy Equipment: Operate powered lift trucks in performance of order selecting duties when required Conduct safety inspections on any equipment used Used of hand-held computers / scanners and voice-enabled computers Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities Knowledge of warehouse procedures Knowledge of stock rotation procedures Ability to read and write legibly in English Ability to count accurately and do simple math Must be capable of standing, walking and climbing stairs for extended periods of time Must be capable of climbing, stooping and kneeling Ability to lift, push and pull up to 80 lbs Ability to operate machinery Ability to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers Ability to pay attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers in a courteous and professional manner Ability to work with minimal supervision Education and Experience High school graduate or equivalent and excellent math skills Certco is an equal opportunity employer. Items are placed on pallets and completed orders are moved to the loading dock staging area with an electric pallet jack/forklift, wrapped, labeled, and readied for shipment in a timely manner observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company. Position Responsibilities: * Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately. * Review work schedule, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations. Perform a safety check on pallet jack/forklift to be used and insure that all other safety devices are functioning properly. Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear. * Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines. * Place pallets on pallet jack and operate along assigned multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets. * Manually place the appropriate stock items on pallet from pick slots and racks as required. Use single and/or double pallets as directed. * Transport completed palletized customer order to shipping dock staging area. May be required to shrink-wrap pallet for staging. * Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries, or attach re-charger and complete vehicle inspection checklist. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork. * Performs other related duties as assigned.
