What You Will Do • Identify and conceptualize primarily robotic and at times other forms of automated solutions to drive improvements in safety, ergonomics, quality, productivity, and cost reductions throughout the Machine Division. • Coordinate with vendors to quote and size automated systems. • Manage projects from start to finish including Capital Appropriation Requests with project budgets, savings, ROI, timelines, runoff criteria, status reporting, system implementation, and all other project details. • Program robotic systems, provide support and troubleshooting of existing robotic systems. • Design customized fixturing and workholding for automated systems using Solid Edge. • Create procedures, documentation, routings, and other necessary documentation for the manufacturing process. • Collaborate and communicate cross functionally with all levels of the organization including but not limited to pieceworkers, R&D, QA, Supply Management, production departments, and executive management. • Serve as the technical expert in robotics. Mentor and train others in the technical aspects of robotic systems. • Other assignments as assigned by the supervisor. • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy. Education & Experience Requirements • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Engineering or related discipline. • Minimum 8 years professional and on hands experience with robotic systems. Robotic welding experience is a plus. • Proficient in conceptualizing automated solutions and implementing robotic and automation equipment. • Proficient at higher level programing of Fanuc robots for purposes of auto recovery and other more complex routines. • Excellent organizational skills as well as written and oral communication skills. • Possess and apply strong problem solving skills with an analytical approach and attention to detail.
