Position Description
As a Host(ess), you will be responsible for providing friendly and efficient service to guests according to company policies, procedures, programs and performance standards. In addition, you will perform all duties to maximize guest satisfaction and a quality work environment as directed by General Manager or Manager on Duty.
Responsibilities:
* Reports to work well groomed, in proper and clean uniform and practices good personal hygiene.
* Uses greeting, seating, and waiting list procedures.
* Accountable for proper handling of cash, credit card information, gift cards and all things related to the payment of guest checks.
* Maintains cleanliness standards and stocks for the reception area and restrooms.
* Accurately processes all guest checks with no cash overages or shortages.
* Anticipates, identifies and corrects system breakdowns to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.
* Provides assistance to pantry maintenance and pre-rush organization.
* Provides assistance to all servers and bus persons in order to execute Perkins service standards.
* Utilizes proper cash handling procedures to execute cash and non-cash transactions, counting change, security precautions, and cash accountability.
* Ensures that the cash register and cash register area are stocked with all needed items.
* Communicates with Manager on Duty and co-workers regarding product/service deficiencies, equipment, safety problems, etc.
* Monitors and oversees food temperatures during hot and cold handling to reduce the incidence of risk factors known to cause food borne illness.
* Has sufficient knowledge of menu to execute suggestive selling techniques with all guests.
* Maintains cleanliness of bakery cases and restocks.
* Has sufficient knowledge of bakery products to execute suggestive selling techniques and sampling programs with all guests.
* Bags/boxes any products according to standards.
Qualifications:
* Basic skills such as sanitation, safety, and customer service taught through in-house training
* Trustworthy; can be relied upon to deal with payment of guest checks and operate cash register
* Must be able to communicate clearly
Physical Requirements / Environment / Work Conditions:
* Must have high level of mobility/flexibility
* Must be able to work irregular hours under heavy stress/pressure during peak times

Prepare bakery items according to company policies, procedures, programs and performance standards. Responsible for helping to maintain food costs and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen at all times. Performs all duties to maximize guest satisfaction and quality of work environment as directed by Kitchen Manager or Manager on Duty. POSITION ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
Bake - Prepare bakery items according to Perkins standards and specifications. Label and date all trays of baked items. Observe proper food storage procedures. Ensures high standards of food safety.
Display - Set up and maintain the display cases. Use proper merchandising display techniques. Work with Host and Cashier to set up samples, holiday packaging and merchandising.
Clean - Follow proper sanitation procedures in the kitchen, walk-ins and dry storage areas. Keep bakery prep and storage areas clean and organized. Clean and sanitize bakery cases and display items. The Baker is responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of all bakery equipment, pans and utensils. Controls Food Cost
Ensures products are accurately portioned and ensures food products are prepared as specified by recipes.
Utilizes FIFO (first in first out) standards when preparing items.
Maintains Cleanliness
Maintains cleanliness of the kitchen, prep areas, coolers and storage areas
Follows proper safety procedures and policies concerning food handling, rotation and storage
Conducts line sweeps throughout the shift
“Clean as you go” throughout the shift
Understands OSHA requirements and health department standards
Cleans all equipment on line and other areas as directed by the Kitchen manager or Manager on duty.
Anticipates, identifies and corrects system breakdowns to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.

Prior to meal service, sets dining tables with dishes, silverware and glassware and condiments as required.
Following meal service, removes soiled dishes, silverware, linens and glassware from dining tables by placing on serving tray and wipes table and chairs and walls next to tables clean with sanitizer.
Clears crumbs onto serving tray and wipes tables clean.
Vacuums floor directly under and around dining table.
Assist Crew Members
Maintains cleanliness of his/her stations and work areas.

Host Activities and Guest Interaction
Reports to work well-groomed, in clean and proper uniform and at all times practices good personal hygiene.
Opens the door as guests enter and leave the building.
Uses greeting, seating and waiting list procedures. Seats guests in a friendly and timely manner in person or on telephone.
Anticipates, identifies and corrects system breakdowns to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.
Completes wait sheets
Greet and Seat - Welcome new Guests as they arrive and show them to their seats. Make a friendly first impression. Describe features, soup of the day, etc.
Take Cash - Check out Guests at the register. Ask Guests, “How was your meal and service?” Thank Guests and invite them to return.
Hospitality - Move through the dining room regularly and ensure Guests have all items needed. Be attentive - make Guests feel special.
Sell Bakery - Offer specific suggestions for take-out bakery items. Efficiently package to-go orders.
Clean - Ensure that the cashier area, bakery cases and displays, lobby area, entryway and Guest restrooms and dining room stay clean throughout the shift.

Position Description
As a Dish Person, you will be responsible for providing friendly and efficient service according to company policies, procedures, programs and performance standards.
Responsibilities:

Rinses and arranges soiled dishes, silverware and glassware into washer trays. All preparation containers and pans require soaking, scrubbing and sanitation manually.
Loads trays into dishwasher; removes dishes, silverware and glassware from washer trays and stocks for kitchen personnel and servers.
Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of his/her work areas.
Monitors and oversees food temperatures during hot and cold food handling to reduce the incidence of risk factors known to cause food borne illness.
Performs general maintenance of all floors (mopping and vacuuming) at end of work shift.
