In addition to meeting the minimum qualification requirements, you must show possession of the ability to type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample, with three or fewer errors. You may self-certify your proficiency in the Occupational Questionnaire.

Available Shifts:
- Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday: 2:30 PM - 9:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM on weekend day
- Overnight: 10 PM-8 AM, 10:30 PM-8:30 AM, or 9:30 PM-9 AM

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, grooming, and medication administration.
- Respond to medical or behavioral needs during the day program following established procedures.
- Foster a positive and empowering atmosphere, encouraging residents to engage in social, recreational, and skill-building activities.
- Document observations, incidents, and interventions in resident records.
- Work collaboratively with team members, case managers, healthcare professionals, and families to provide comprehensive care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment through light housekeeping and safety checks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with individuals with IDD or in a caregiving role preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse individuals.
- Calm, patient, and compassionate demeanor in challenging situations.
- Basic understanding of medical procedures or willingness to learn and follow protocols.

Specialized Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in the Federal service that included experience such as:

Education substitution:
You must have successfully completed four years of education above high school in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. You must have an appropriate combination of successfully completed post-high school education and experience to meet the total qualification requirements for the GS-05 grade level. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience. Minimum Qualifications for GS-06

* Performing file searches and assembling documentation.
* Responding to routine requests and issues regarding legal or law enforcement policies, practices and procedures.
Typing Requirement
In addition to meeting the minimum qualification requirements, you must show possession of the ability to type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample, with three or fewer errors. You may self-certify your proficiency in the Occupational Questionnaire.

Must be able to use a variety of equipment such as computers, scanners, copiers, and cafeteria/food preparation equipment. Must be able to communicate effectively. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to forty pounds. Due to the amount of time spent standing and/or walking, physical requirements are consistent with those for heavy work. All employees are expected to request assistance when needed and work collaboratively.

Maintains inventory control in the hygiene rooms and sterilizes instruments
Shares maintenance duties as required
Performs recurring and routine work independently
Depending on workload, assists in monitoring the schedule and confirming appointments
