OVERVIEW
Under direction of the Program Administrator, Program Manager, or designee, is responsible for encouraging and empowering Medical Respite guests to recover by providing services which will assist with completion of activities of daily living and active participation in recommended healthcare services. The Respite Assistantassists Medical Respite guests with navigating and utilizing the Casa de Respiro facility and other services offered by Catholic Community Services and partnering entities. Position may from time to time be stressful and require a high demand of performance. May perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Documentation:
Protects and maintain the confidentiality of guest records and information
Follows Data, Assessment, Plan (DAP) format when completing guest progress and staffing notes
Responsible for the submission of timely, accurate, and complete billing information to Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Responsible for meeting encounter production requirements as directed
Completes documentation with attention to grammar, punctuation, and spelling
Completes other forms/paperwork as directed by leadership (e.g., Critical Incident Reports, vehicle log, etc.)
Duties and Job Responsibilities:
Engages Medical Respite guests and offers assistance with understanding treatment recommendations and holistic healthcare and recovery model
Assists guests with developing skills and acquiring knowledge related to the independent completion of personal care and activities of daily living (eating meals, completing hygiene-related tasks, attending appointments, completing laundry, changing bed linens, etc.) and providing minor assistance as needed
Assists guests with developing skills and acquiring knowledge related to utilizing healthcare services and community resources that contribute to improvement of quality of life
Works as a collaborative partner on Adult Recovery Team (ART) to provide recovery support and advocacy for guests and staff, and participates in ART meetings as needed
Assists guests with the self-administration of medications and other indicated treatment-related activities as directed by a qualified healthcare professional
Empowers guests to direct independent care and engagement within the community
Disseminates literature and information on recovery
Encourages the health, safety, and welfare of guests at all times
Assists treatment team with ongoing assessment of guests' emotional, behavioral, and social needs
Participates in interdisciplinary staffing for clients with other team members as appropriate
May drive personal or agency vehicle on company business
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Suitable work experience may be considered as transferable skills in order to meet minimum requirements of the position and will be considered by the Executive Director of Human Resources.
High School Diploma or GED
2 years of experience working in a healthcare or personal care capacity
Credentialled as a Peer and Recovery Support Specialist, or have the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
Proven skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification
Proven strong communication skills - oral and written are clear, concise, and in an organized fashion using appropriate style, grammar, and tone
REGULATORY
Must be at least 18 years of age

Management of the Conservation Laboratory:
* Manages the long-term and daily activities of the Conservation Laboratory, including evaluating laboratory facilities, inventory, equipment, and procedures, and monitoring and maintaining safe working conditions and security.
* Plans, schedules, manages, budgets for, and evaluates preservation and conservation programs and projects.
* Supervises staff, students, and/or volunteers within the lab.
* Prepares budget and capital equipment requests for laboratory operations.
* Develops, maintains and implements policies, procedures and standards for activities that involve preservation (the activities that protect collections by minimizing chemical and physical deterioration and damage and that prevent loss of informational content), and conservation (preventive care and interventive treatment of objects guided by the professional Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Practice of the American Institute for Conservation).
* Maintains records and documentation, including condition surveys, condition reports for loans, conservation treatment reports, and technical study reports related to repatriation.
Physical Care of Collections:
* Determines priorities for preservation and engages in activities that protect the collections or individual artifacts from harm.

About the role:
Cultivation Assistants will support the daily operations of flower production, including processes and procedures within propagation, vegetation, flowering, and the post-harvest phases. Assistants will learn basic plant care to ensure plants grow according to schedule, maintain the regimens in each stage, and help complete all daily objectives for plant and room maintenance.
What you'll be doing:
Support all tasks in the grow department including cloning, transplanting, feeding plants, defoliation, topping, flushing, foliar and preventative sprays, waste disposal and inventory management
Perform team and individual tasks as assigned while maintaining efficient production pace.
Complete daily schedule objectives in a timely manner in accordance with SOPs.
Ensure accuracy of plant inventory, including strain names, plant tag numbers, and count records.
Ensure all plants are fed appropriately by monitoring moisture levels of grow medium.
Inspect and monitor plant pressures including pest, fungal, bacterial, viruses, and all plant health issues.
Follow IPM schedule and wear appropriate PPE when drenching or spraying.
Manage plants throughout grow cycle until harvest including transplanting, water, pruning, and inspecting plant and environment data.
Complete daily maintenance of Mother plants, including trimming, pruning, and de-fanning.
Help take and transplant cuts from Mothers to train and grow young plants.
Ensure all tools and materials are kept in clean, sanitary, and working condition.
Maintain a sanitary environment by following cleaning and sanitation SOP of all growth rooms.

Enhances learning environment of physically, emotionally, and mentally challenged multiple disabled students through individualized focus on daily living and learning skills; provides instructional support to certified teachers on an as-needed basis. Inclusion Assistants work at multiple sites throughout the District.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Provides direct medical health services and support to students during seizures, tracheotomy suctioning and changing, respiratory support, "G" tube feedings (bolus and continuous), supported oral motor functions for eating, catheterization, medication administration (oral and "G" tube), CPR and First Aide;
* Provides direct assistance for students to reach daily personal care and personal hygiene goals;
* Develops student-centered, age appropriate, functional and meaningful adaptations and accommodations;
* Provides direct assistance and/or full support for meal times, including "G" tube feedings;
* Encourages students to participate in decision-making, counseling, social, recreational, vocational, day and other activities identified in students' person-centered individualized education plans;
* Conducts daily data documentation and observation of student behavior and medication bringing any unusual/suspect behaviors to supervisor's immediate attention;
* Assists and supports student augmentative communication systems (low/high tech, Braille, sign language, etc.) including adaptive computer software and technologies;
* Ensures proper operating safety procedures of power and manual wheelchair systems, including attending wheelchair clinics, readjustments, positioning/lifting training, and other related supports;
* Obtains in-depth knowledge through training of positioning, standing, walking, transferring methods, individualized physical and occupational therapy routines;
* Performs crisis intervention techniques to prevent harmful behavior to/by students to others;
* Supports positive behavioral support procedures;
* Transports students to community based instruction sites;
* Collects data to meaningfully assess individual student goals and objectives;
* Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with students, peers, families, therapists, District personnel, community members, and outside service agencies;
* Encourages and teaches self-esteem by demonstrating and modeling the skills to foster empowerment;
* Performs other related tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
A. REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
* High School Diploma or equivalent;
* Associate's degree, 60 credit hours of college or evidence of passing score on acceptable paraprofessional exam;
* Post High School education and/or training with persons with disabilities preferred;
* Prior medical training or experience preferred;
* CPR and First Aide certification required within first year of employment;
* Ability to communicate effectively;
* Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships;
* In-service training session attendance required;
* Valid Arizona driver's license.
B. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
* Ability to assist students with restricted mobility, if necessary;
* Ability to lift more than 50 pounds, if required;
* Ability to attend to student personal care routines, if required;
* Ability to operate district transportation vehicles, if necessary;
* Ability to call for assistance and/or emergency 911;
* Ability to physically perform CPR and First Aide.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of an ophthalmologist. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment and skills necessary to provide appropriate patient care.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Prepares patient for exam and treatment by taking and recording medical history and performing basic visual measurement tests.
2. Assists in setting up for various procedures such as eye lid excision, eye lash removal, foreign object removal, suture removal and dressing change.
3. Prepares treatment rooms for patient exams, disposes of contaminated supplies and prepares instruments to be sent to sterilization.
4. Instructs patients on home medicines and administers medications as directed by physician. Sends refill authorizations to physician through EMR.
5. Maintains inventory and orders supplies when necessary.
6. Maintains ophthalmic equipment and instruments.
7. This position works under general direction of a physician, performing only those procedures that fall within the scope of their certification or licensure. This position interacts with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families and external contacts, such as pharmacies, physician offices and vendors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Knowledge as normally obtained through graduation from an Accredited Ophthalmology Assisting Program. Completion of an approved ophthalmology assistant training program as defined by state regulations. An uncertified Ophthalmology Assistant will be placed in this position up to, but no more than 1 year in order to obtain certification. BLS certified required.
Must possess at least 1 year of experience working in a healthcare facility.
Requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Requires the ability to manage multiple changing priorities in an effective and organized fashion.
Requires strong computer skills, including the ability to work with medical software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working as an ophthalmology assistant, optometry assistant, or medical assistant.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
