Function/Duties of Position Operations: Answering and dispatching all EVS 24/hr pager requests. Assists with dispatching EVS techs where needed. Manages heavy call volume through the shift. Familiar with numerous guidelines, instructions, regulations, manuals and procedures. Must work with multiple supervisors and admin staff on multiple shifts. Must be able to communicate in a manner which conveys a level of graciousness and professionalism representing the EVS department. Communicate in person and over the phone with a wide variety of individuals including employees, patients, patient family members and disgruntled staff members. Defuse upset persons using good communication skills. Must communicate effectively with Mission Control team. Attends Mission Control Huddle. Maintains a working knowledge of the hospital bed tracking system (Epic) and and notifies supervisors of issues, tracks and sends information for breaks and lunch times of EVS staff. Uses epic to manage bedflow to assign beds, page EVS techs and monitor delayed breaks and lunches. Maintains a working knowledge of GE Tiles and reports response times to supervisors. Uses GE tile to manage bedflow and bed prioritization. Uses GE tile to monitor and report to supervisors on delayed transit times, and delayed cleaning times. Daily Reporting out to EVS leadership using EVS Expeditor Worksheet Able to work independently, using judgment to make decisions or select a course of action based on OHSU policies, and procedures within the department operations. Reporting: Uses Epic software to pull reports and extract data. The data is then manipulated and put into Excel spreadsheets to manage response, clean, room turn times and break and meal times. Uses GE Tile software to pull reports and extract data. Creates and maintains routine spreadsheets, track various EVS projects. Create or revise evs procedures to improve and expedite work flow. Create spreadsheets using data from Epic for reporting purposes. Quality and Safety: Assist staff compliance to the standard work by monitoring and reporting to supervisors. Submit work orders for maintenance repairs as needed. Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information regarding employees and patients at OHSU Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required Qualifications Two years of general office or secretarial experience; OR An Associate's degree or certificate in office occupations or office technology and one year of general office or secretarial experience; OR A Bachelor's degree and one year of general office or secretarial experience; OR An equivalent combination of training and experience. Note: Successful completion of a formal OHSU Administrative Internship Program will substitute for one year of experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelors Degree 1 years EVS Technician experience 1 year Lead worker experience 2-3 years use of a computer in a workplace setting. 6 months-1 year Epic Experience Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Additional Details Busy enviroment with a lot of interuptions, multiple demands and people interactions. The Burnside Recovery Center will offer 3.7 Level of Care services, focusing on stabilization and support for clients with substance use disorders as their primary diagnosis, along with co-occurring mental health conditions. Our integrated, person-centered care model meets clients and their families where they are, combining therapy, mental health services, medical care, and community-based management into one coordinated pathway to recovery. With expedited access to primary care, outpatient substance use disorder services, and recovery-supportive housing, our holistic approach empowers clients to achieve long-term success. Treatment Assistants are responsible for providing care and close intensive supervision to all patients in a 24-hour residential treatment facility. General responsibilities include: providing patient-centered care, using de-escalation skills, observing and reporting behaviors and supporting a healthy and safe milieu environment, providing high quality customer service, and other duties as needed. This position works closely with the Milieu Supervisor, counselors, and other staff to develop and implement a supportive environment for patients. Schedule: On-call shifts available for day, swing and overnight shifts. For the first 2 months each OC Treatment Assistant must work at least 4 shifts a month, and then can go down to 1 shift a month once fully trained. Location: 16 Burn Recovery Center (1616 E Burnside St. Portland, OR 97214) Compensation: $22.71 per hour MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School or GED. A minimum of two-years work or volunteer experience combination in related field required (i.e., shelter, residential or day treatment, counseling, substance abuse treatment, etc.). Knowledge of Twelve-Step Recovery process. Have, or able to obtain, Adult CPR Certification AND First Aid Certification prior to start date. Must meet CCC privileging requirements as required by FTCA. Ability to adhere to Central City Concern's drug-free workplace which encourages a safe, healthy and productive work environment and strictly complies with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988. An employee shall not, in the workplace, unlawfully manufacture, distribute, dispense, possess or use a controlled substance or alcohol. Participate in non-clinical patient and staff group meetings. Review records for accuracy and maintain filing systems. Implement self-sufficiency, treatment or discharge plans as directed by clinical staff. Attend all mandatory CCC trainings in a timely manner. Adhere to all state and federal privacy regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, and to CCC policies and agreements regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security. Support compliance with all privacy and security requirements pursuant to community partners' and outside providers' patient confidentiality agreements, including privacy and security requirements for EMR access.
