Department Summary
The Early Childhood CARES program is a department within the College of Education. Early Childhood CARES stands for Early Childhood Coordination Agency for Referrals, Evaluations, and Services. Early Childhood CARES provides Early Intervention (EI) and Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) services to infants, toddlers, and preschool children in Lane County with developmental delays and disabilities. Early Childhood CARES is funded by the Oregon Department of Education and is one of nine programs in Oregon delivering EI/ECSE services across the state.
Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to assist Early Childhood CARES Specialists in preparing and using appropriate curriculum to promote growth and learning in all developmental areas for children receiving EI/ECSE services. The Early Childhood Assistant will help implement individualized goals and objectives and facilitate integration into community preschools. The Assistant may observe and record specific behavioral data as well as targeted goals and objectives, and communicate with program staff, consultants, related service providers, and parents.
This position reports to the EC CARES Program Coordinator. The Assistant will be working with children birth to school age with disabilities.
Physical demands:
• Frequent lifting of children.
• Sitting on the floor for extended periods of time.
• Bending down to the child's level often, following safety measures in bending and lifting.
• Performing caregiving activities for children if needed; diapering, toileting, feeding, and arrival/departure routines.
Work Conditions:
• Frequent exposure to childhood illnesses.
Special Requirements:
• Position is subject to background checks, including criminal record checks and fingerprinting.
• Current enrollment in the Oregon Employment Department Child Care Division Central Background Registry is required for employment.
Minimum Requirements

• One year of full-time experience in a certified day care center or comparable child care program.

This role will play a key part in supporting our Fleet Sales operations across Tonkin Hillsboro Ford, Tonkin Hillsboro Chevrolet, and Tonkin Hillsboro Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. The Fleet Assistant will work closely with our Fleet Sales manager to ensure seamless operations and exceptional service to our fleet customers.
Fleet Assistant Job Responsibilities
Assist Fleet Sales managers with customer inquiries, quotes, and orders for fleet vehicles.
Collaborate with dealership staff to coordinate vehicle deliveries and ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.
Conduct vehicle demonstrations and assist customers with test drives as needed.
Maintain accurate records of fleet sales transactions and customer interactions.
Assist in preparing sales contracts, financing paperwork, and other documentation related to fleet sales.
Provide ongoing support to fleet customers, addressing any post-sale inquiries or service needs.
Coordinate with dealership finance and insurance departments to facilitate fleet financing and insurance options.

Casey Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology at OHSU is recruiting a full-time Comprehensive Ophthalmologist for its affiliated clinic located in Astoria, Oregon.
This position will join an established and highly regarded University-based practice with clinical, research, and educational responsibilities, and will hold an academic appointment. It has a strong established referral base and an active surgical load. The group practice consists of 12 optometrists and 52 ophthalmologists offering sub-specialty services in cornea, vitreoretinal disease, ophthalmic pathology and oncology, uveitis and ocular immunology, glaucoma, oculoplastics, neuro-ophthalmology, low vision rehabilitation, and ophthalmic genetics.
The ideal candidate must be board certified or board eligible. Oregon and Washington state medical licensures are required. A competitive benefit package will be offered and housing support is provided on a time limited basis.
Function/Duties of Position
This position is under the supervision of the Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology. The duties of this position are in support of the missions, goals and objectives of OHSU and the School of Medicine and include: teaching medical students, house staff, paramedical personnel and the regional medical community; providing clinical care to patients of the University Hospital and Clinics, and affiliated hospitals and clinics; engaging in public service through consultative activities with non-university groups as approved by the Department Chair. Clinical practice is largely expected to focus on comprehensive ophthalmology at CEI's satellite location in Astoria, Oregon.
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience: Requires a current, valid MD license and completion of an accredited ophthalmology residency program. Must be board certified or eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Knowledge and Skills: Strong clinical and patient assessment skills. Detail oriented and meticulous in all aspects of work. Requires excellent organizational skills and strong communication and patient relations skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with employees at all levels of the organization is essential. Demonstrated innovation, initiative, and creative problem-solving skills are imperative. Must be pro-active and detail oriented. Ability to work well independently and multi-task is critical. Ability to plan and organize technical work and to adapt to a changing work environment is critical. Must be able to assess and develop work tasks and systems in order to optimize clinic performance.
