A highly respected outpatient neurosurgery practice in Westchester County, NY is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP), either a Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or Physician Assistant (PA), to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to work side by side with a top neurosurgeon in a collaborative, high-acuity, surgical-focused environment.
Position Overview
The APP will play a key role in the evaluation, treatment, and ongoing care of neurosurgical patients in an outpatient setting, with involvement in perioperative and surgical care as appropriate. Prior neurosurgery experience is ideal; however, candidates with strong surgical, acute care, or operating room backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Collaborate directly with the neurosurgeon in outpatient clinic and perioperative settings
Perform patient evaluations, follow-ups, and post-operative careAssist with surgical cases as needed
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
Develop and manage treatment plans in collaboration with the physician
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and recovery plans
Document care accurately in the EMR and maintain compliance with clinical standards
Requirements
Licensed Nurse Practitioner (FNP or ANP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in New York State
Acute Care certification required
Surgical experience required (neurosurgery preferred, but open to other surgical or OR specialties)
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced specialty practice
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary range of $150,000-$200,000, based on experience
