Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for food and drink preparation and serving.

Responsible for handling cash received and change for products sold.

Overview
Are you interested in becoming a part of an exciting new initiative at Children's Mercy? We are looking for Mental Health Providers to join our PATH (Pediatric Access to Therapy and Healing) Team. PATH Providers will be trained and provide short-term outpatient therapy for patients who present with acuity needs, training to be provided upon hire. PATH Providers will work in the emergency department along side our mental health assessment team to provide seamless care coordination.
This position will be located at Broadway Campus in KCMO, and hours are Monday-Friday 10:00am - 6:30pm.
The Child and Family Mental Health Provider is a Master's level Clinician or Social Worker who will provide evidence-based therapy services to children and families at Children's Mercy. Our mental health services are provided for a broad range of patients, including children in mental health crisis, parents struggling with behavioral problems, children and families who have been impacted by trauma and children who are at risk for abuse and neglect. Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities
Child and Family Therapy Service Provision and Documentation: The Child and Family Mental Health Provider will provide evidence based mental health treatments to patients and families within the clinical area they are assigned.
Case Management and Collaboration: The Child and Family Mental Health Provider will maintain ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strong partnerships. Play therapy will be an additional modality used. This position is a full-time, twelve (12) month position per year in which the hours will be assigned by the early childhood center. Some in-home and after-hours work may be required to meet the needs of families. As a member of the Outpatient team, you will work with other team members and report to our Clinical Manager- Early Education.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
* Provide direct mental health (individual and family), groups, case management, and, if licensed at the master level, therapeutic support to students and families experiencing social and emotional problems as indicated by assessed needs.
* Perform intakes and thorough assessments.
* Engage children in utilizing social emotional strategies to regain a regulated state and reintegrate them into their classroom activity when regulation has occurred.
* Support children in the classroom with social-emotional strategies, regulation, safety, connection, and executive functioning skills.
* Implement positive behavior support and skill building through a trauma-informed lens with regulated children on caseload within their classroom environment.

Children's Mercy Department of Social Work, Child and Family Mental Health Services provides programing, which supports families through evidence-based clinical services. Our mental health services are provided for a broad range of patients and families, including children in mental health crisis, parents struggling with child's behavioral problems, children and families who have been impacted by trauma, and children at risk for abuse and neglect. The age range for patients to receive services is as young as 2 and up to 18, or older within the emergency department should there be a need. Goals of treatment may include safety planning, crisis stabilization, skill development, enhanced resiliency, social integration, improved ability of parents to support their child, improved communication, and parenting skills. Our specially trained master level licensed clinicians are embedded throughout the hospital system within specialty clinics, ambulatory clinics, inpatient units, and emergency departments.

We are seeking a Mental Health Care Provider- Early Education to join our team. Your role will be as part of an interdisciplinary and interagency team. The Mental Health Care Provider will support students and families in their assigned location to address personal, emotional, and social problems that interfere with development and school success. Additionally, it will provide individual, family, group interventions and/or wrap-around case management support in addition to crisis management as indicated. This position will consult with and provide professional development to school team members and parents to increase knowledge of trauma-informed interventions in the school setting to enhance understanding of trauma-informed care. One method of education of trauma-informed care is through the Conscious Discipline model that utilizes observation and assessment of the child as a tool to support both teachers and parents. Play therapy will be an additional modality used. This position is a full-time, twelve (12) month position per year in which the hours will be assigned by the early childhood center. Some in-home and after-hours work may be required to meet the needs of families. As a member of the Outpatient team, you will work with other team members and report to our Clinical Manager- Early Education.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Provide direct mental health (individual and family), groups, case management, and, if licensed at the master level, therapeutic support to students and families experiencing social and emotional problems as indicated by assessed needs.
Perform intakes and thorough assessments.
Engage children in utilizing social emotional strategies to regain a regulated state and reintegrate them into their classroom activity when regulation has occurred.
Support children in the classroom with social-emotional strategies, regulation, safety, connection, and executive functioning skills.
Implement positive behavior support and skill building through a trauma-informed lens with regulated children on caseload within their classroom environment.
Support teachers and administrators through reinforcing training skills, as well as modeling skills and strategies that can be used with the child within their daily routine and environment, including Conscious Discipline techniques as well as other methods.
Facilitate program development to integrate into the early childhood programs.
Participate and collaborate in interdisciplinary team meetings to update and collaborate on strategies that are effective and need modification to best meet a child's needs
Provide consultation and reinforcement of training skills to build administrators and teachers' support teams on issues related to mental health, utilizing Conscious Discipline as well as other methods.
Coordinate and continually analyze and assess each family and child's situation regarding any supportive services, resources, and referrals that children and families may need.
Develop treatment plans by establishing treatment goals based on data from outcome measures.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience as a Mental Health Care Provider- Early Education, and the following:
REQUIREMENTS
At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening
A valid driver's license, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
Knowledge of computers, including Word, Excel software, and data entry.
Knowledgeable of and follows Cornerstones of Care policy and procedures, including code of ethics.
Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and knowledge of community resources.
