SUMMARY OF MAJOR FUNCTIONS
Under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, the OTP Provider is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality medical care to individuals receiving treatment for opioid use disorder within the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP). The OTP Provider works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure compassionate, patient-centered, and compliant care in alignment with applicable federal, state, and tribal regulations.
This is a part-time position that includes direct patient care, medication management, and participation in program quality and compliance activities. Option for full time position will include primary or behavioral health care at KWC, depending on the employees' qualifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct medical assessments and evaluations to determine eligibility and ongoing appropriateness for opioid use disorder treatment.
Provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT), including prescribing and monitoring methadone, buprenorphine, and other medications as applicable under scope of licensure.
Oversee and document patient progress, medical necessity, and treatment outcomes in collaboration with counselors and nursing staff.
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, tribal, and local regulations related to opioid treatment, including 42 CFR Part 2 and 42 CFR Part 8.
Collaborate with program leadership to ensure policies, procedures, and clinical practices align with evidence-based care and accreditation standards.
Review and co-sign treatment orders, laboratory results, and other clinical documentation as required.
Participate in quality improvement activities, case reviews, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
Maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical documentation in the electronic health record.
Provide consultation and education to program staff regarding medical aspects of substance use and co-occurring conditions.
Participate in emergency preparedness and response procedures relevant to OTP operations.
Stay current with best practices, regulatory changes, and continuing education related to addiction medicine.
Provide telehealth services as needed and coordinate continuity of care for patients served at other clinic sites.
Participate in performance evaluations, peer reviews, and program development activities as assigned.
May provide primary careor pain management consultation for OTP patients as part of integrated care.
Other duties as assigned.

Performs comprehensive history and physical evaluations, behavioral health care, and minor outpatient surgical procedures for patients as required by client policy, or as required for patient medical complaint.
Coordinates health care needs of patients including referrals to off-site consultants.
Takes appropriate infection control actions in accordance with client policy and guidance.
Completes all training as required/assigned.
Attends on-site, regional, and national meetings as required.
Participates in the APP Peer Review process.
Provides direct care to patients via scheduled appointments, emergency, or urgent care visits.

Complete a minimum of eight hours of continuing medical education in child abuse medicine annually and participate in additional quality assurance activities including consultation with child abuse experts, literature review and peer review.
Share call-phone duties at minimum one week per month

This role is a full-time/part-time job opportunity located in Springfield with a pay range of $22 to $24 per hour, paid biweekly. This would be for a morning position. As a DSP, you will work closely with individuals who require physical, mental, and/or emotional assistance to complete ADL's (activities of daily living), develop life skills, and foster independence. • Provide help with activities of daily living including but not limited to: physical and emotional support, integrated healthcare recommendations and support, behavioral interventions, and communication support
• Adhere to established protocols and client goals
• Provide transportation for appointments and daily activities
• Develop and maintain client relationships and foster positive self-esteem
• Live the company mission of providing individualized care to each of our clients
• Provide assistance with general housekeeping and home management
• Complete and adhere to all required documentation
Requirements
• 18 years of age or older
• 1+ years experience providing support for an I/DD individual and/or family member
• Knowledge and understanding of disabilities
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Compassionate, caring, and patient attitude
• Clear criminal background check
• Have a valid drivers license, active auto insurance, and a good working vehicle
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

We are seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who are passionate about working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. This includes but is not limited to assisting people with activities of daily living, hygiene, meal preparation, mobility, community integration, and behavioral supports.
At Hummingbird Care Home, DSPs will have the opportunity to work in a variety of capacities and settings, including 24-hour residential group homes as well as Supported Living Programs (SLPs) where the individuals are supported at their own homes.
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 (Hourly)
