Responsibilities:
Prepares and administers feed and maintains prescribed diet for animals within the wildlife department at Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch. Assists in ordering and maintaining food inventory;
Provides daily care and observation of animals, including grooming and corralling as in keeping with seasonally changing needs. Maintains logs and databases of daily care, feeding, husbandry, animal locations, and body conditions;
Cleans and provides daily upkeep for enclosures, habitats, and office areas;
Maintains and repairs enclosures, pastures, and habitats including mowing, landscaping, and assistance with construction of new facilities;
Prepares and implements behavioral management and wellness programs;

Essential Functions:
Administers the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist.

Duties:
Assists the resident in any daily routines, any personalcare and housekeeping tasks that the resident needs assistance in performing.
Reports observations and other pertinent information related to the care of the resident.
Provides services that support the care delivered to the resident and daily review care plans to determine ID changes in the daily care routine have been made.
Provides input in the formulation and evaluation of standards of care.
Participates in the identification of staff educational needs.
Conducts self in a professional manner in compliance with unit facility policies.
Surveys for safety and picks up resident's room each day. Removes all soiled linens from rooms. Bed linens, towels and wash cloths are to be changed once a week or as necessary.
Assists with Activity Participation including encouragement of residents to participate, leading and performing activity programs, and documentation of residents participation.
Ensures that all resident call lights are promptly answered, followed by appropriate responses to requests.
Assists with dietary responsibilities, including serving meals and cleaning meal area, as needed.
Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or the Executive Director.
Education and Experience:
Graduation from high school or equivalent is required.
Previous Nursing Assistant experience or student nurse preferred.
Completion of certification program for Nursing Assistants preferred.
Experience working with the elderly is desirable.
Must be able to read, speak and write the English language.
Must be certified in C.P.R., first aid training and documentation of Personal Hygiene training with nurse instructor.

Azleway's Substance Abuse Program (ASAP) is seeking qualified individuals who can serve as Direct Care Staff to youth struggling with substance abuse. This position is critical to the delivery of services to a vulnerable population and provides direct supervision of clients at all times. The position provides clients with role modeling and assists them in recognizing behaviors that may be inappropriate and that place them at risk. The Direct Care Staff also provides Life Skills Training, the necessary transportation for clients to and from activities and appointments, and support in the academic and therapeutic environments.
Skills and Abilities:
Must take a positive approach in managing negative behavior through clear communication with with clients in an appropriate, understandable, non-judgmental, and non-threatening manner. Must have good oral and written communication skills.
