Join our team at Acacia, where we design advanced optical transceivers for high-speed fiber optic transmission in data centers and telecommunication networks. We're seeking enthusiastic, experienced individuals to work on the forefront of fiber optic technology. You'll be part of the team developing Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and Forward Error Correction (FEC) algorithms for our optical transceivers' Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs). Collaboration with colleagues from the DSP and ASIC teams is key to optimizing performance and power efficiency. You'll contribute to system design, develop architectures, and support ASIC design and verification. Work closely with colleagues across various fields and gain diverse knowledge in optical system testing, analog components, modeling, and more.
Your Impact
With your expertise in DSP for coherent optical transceivers, FEC, and modeling, you help the team to develop the next generation of low-power and high-performance coherent transceivers. Here are some examples of possible topics:
* Invent, simulate and validate new DSP or FEC algorithms (both in floating-point and fixed-point precision) to improve performance and functionality or lower power consumption
* Test and optimize these algorithms on actual hardware and correlate performance with previous simulations
* Develop models of analog RF and optical components and evaluate system performance with these models
* Analyze performance of developed transceiver modules and update models and simulation environments to accurately match the measured results
Minimum Qualifications:
Typically: Bachelors + 15 years of related experience, or Masters + 12 years of related experience, or PhD + 8 years of related experience

Promotes breastfeeding as the normal, preferred method of infant feeding by providing basic breastfeeding information to pregnant and breastfeeding WIC clients through peer-to-peer counselor contact. Assists with presenting prenatal classes and breastfeeding support groups in WIC clinics, according to local agency lesson plans and protocols.
Works within scope of practice of providing basic breastfeeding information and support to WIC clients. Ensure seamless communication with other agency programs (Violence Prevention services, Partners for Success , etc.) regarding families accessing services through 360 Communities Housing Support Services, to ensure holistic services to children, families and individuals.
Identify service barriers and work to remove them through engagement of the community and linking to formal and informal supports.
Follow mandated reporting laws for child abuse and neglect.
Maintain safety and security by following all safety and security procedures and communicate appropriately.

Summary
Home Based Residential Supports direct support staff are responsible for providing high quality direct care services to an adult with developmental disabilities and high medical needs. Each direct support staff member is responsible for ensuring the human rights of all Individuals served are met. Staff are responsible for treating all Individuals with dignity and respect.
Direct Support staff assigned to the individual are responsible for supporting the Individual in the completion of their daily routines. Direct Support staff are responsible for ensuring Individuals are provided with opportunities to learn and exercise increasing independence as much as practicable.
Essential Job Functions
* Responsible for the health, safety and wellbeing of the Individual served, seeking assistance and medical interventions as appropriate.
* Serves as a Mandated Reporter and is required to advise direct supervisor, DDS and DPPC immediately if abuse and/or neglect of an Individual is suspected.
* Handle crisis situations according to agency policies and procedures, seeking resources when necessary.
* Monitor home site for safety, cleanliness and upkeep and take necessary action to ensure same. Report safety concerns per established protocols.
* Establish rapport with Individual participating in the Home-Based Residential Supports program.
* Support the learning of the Individual by use of motivational techniques, effective interventions and various communication approaches including verbal, gesture, and written communication.
* Assist the Individual with any activities of daily living (ADLs) as applicable to each Individual's abilities.
* May be responsible for scheduling and accompanying individuals to medical appointments/treatments, ensuring accurate reporting to physician and follow through with respect to doctor's orders and recommendations.
* Responsible for producing accurate, legible and complete medical documentation for Individuals served, including but not limited to treatment charts and data sheets.
* Ensure Individuals are provided nutritionally sound food options along with the education to help them understand the impact of their food consumption.
* Carry out all interventions in an Individual's Behavioral Protocol Plan as written and trained. Redirect and/or physically support Individuals who may be aggressive using proactive techniques while maintaining self-control.
* Communicate effectively, professionally and respectfully with Individuals, co-workers, management, guardians, and others while on company time.
* Responsible for being familiar with and abiding by Agency, Department, and Program policies and procedures and for acting in a manner consistent with organizational values, mission, and goals.
* Attend and actively participate in mandatory staff meetings and trainings as well as supervision meetings.

Responsibilities:
Show Love, Care, and Compassion to our Residents!
Know and follow all established Home Care Services standards and procedures while maintaining a positive, friendly and courteous attitude toward residents, coworkers and guests at all times.
Provides care services for each scheduled resident in an efficient manner; including, bathing, dressing, hair care, nail care, assisting with medication reminders, catheter care, oxygen care, assisting with transfers, assisting with walking, wheelchair transports, serving as an escort and advocate for appointments, laundry, cooking, cleaning, assisting with correspondence, reading to resident, and other duties as requested by the Care Coordinator, Supervising Nurse or Home Care Services Manager (Manager).

Remains current and follows safety and health standards, including but not limited to Universal Precautions, Infection Control, Hazard Communication Standards, including SDS and proper protective equipment, and emergency procedures, including those in the Emergency Response Plan.
Detect, correct, and report situations that have a high probability of causing accidents or injuries to the residents, guests or co-workers. Observe and report symptoms, reactions, and changes in resident condition.
Request assistance from Care Coordinator, Supervising Nurse or Manager if unsure how to care for or handle a resident situation. Reports to supervisor when no resident services are scheduled.
Assist residents to be as independent as the resident's abilities allow.
Know, uphold and follow Resident Rights and Code of Conduct policies. Report to the Manager any situation where the rights of a resident may have the probability of being violated. Only provide confidential information regarding residents to the Manager, or other health care professional as directed by your supervisor, according to an emergency situation.
Understand special needs of 65 and over group (e.g., possible loss of vision, hearing, memory, etc.); ability to effectively communicate and provide services for these age groups.
Report supply and equipment needs to Manager for replenishing. Keep work areas clean and organized.
