RESPONSIBILITIES
The Certified PersonalTrainer will be responsible for providing one-on-one and couples personalized fitness instruction in person to clients at their home, apartment gym or outside while encouraging them to reach their fitness goals. Responsibilities are as follows:
Customize client workout programs developed from the Initial Assessment
Utilize the Svetness Fitness App for all client sessions, including programming & session notes
Demonstrate each exercise and ensure client is performing correctly with or without modifications
Conduct client Reassessments every 4-6 weeks
Maintain client session appointments through Svetness scheduling software
Able to provide a flexible schedule to accommodate client appointments
Able to commute to and from client sessions up to 45 minutes
QUALIFICATIONS
Certified PersonalTrainer: Accredited by NCCA, DEAC, or NBFE.
CPR/AED Certification: Ensure clients' safety with up-to-date CPR/AED training.
Education and experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent and 1-3 years of personal training experience.
Strong communication skills: Effectively communicate verbally, in writing, and technically.

Teach Mind/Body courses in the OSU Faculty Staff Fitness program.
Instruction includes design, delivery, and assessing individual participants' ability to perform movement correctly.
What You Will Need
+ Bachelor's degree and one of the following:
+ One (1) year of teaching experience in the field of Mind/Body Fitness, Yoga, or Pilates, for a minimum of 2 1-hour classes per week (approximately 104 hours annually), or an equivalent amount of instruction experience; OR

Compensation & Benefits:
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $54.00 per hour depending on the following:
Base rate is $15/hour for every hour spent in the studio. (This may include training, events, class preparation, and preparing equipment for the next class.)
Class bonus is an additional $15 for every class taught.
Participant commission is an additional $4 for each participant after 6th.

Experience: Previous experience teaching group fitness classes, leading group activities, or working in a community-focused fitness environment preferred.

The FSF program scheduled its first series of activity classes in the spring of 1984, initially offering 10 classes and enrolling 100 participants. Key Responsibilities
100% Instruction:Teach Strength Training and/or Rhythmic Formats courses in the OSU Faculty Staff Fitness program. Instruction includes design, delivery, and assessing individual participants' ability to perform movement correctly
What You Will Need
+ Bachelor's degree and one of the following:
+ One (1) year of teaching experience in strength training and/or rhythmic formats, for a minimum of 2 1-hour classes per week (approximately 104 hours annually), or an equivalent amount of instruction experience; OR
+ Nationally recognized professional certification in strength training and/or rhythmic formats and 6 months of teaching experience for a minimum of 2 1-hour classes per week (approximately 52 hours annually), or an equivalent amount of instruction experience; OR
+ Associate's degree in Exercise Sports Science or relevant field and three (3) years teaching experience in field of strength training and/or rhythmic formats.; OR
+ High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) years teaching experience AND Certification in field of strength training, group fitness and/or rhythmic formats.
+ CPR / AED and First Aid certifications by the start of classes.
+ Demonstrated ability to design, teach and assess courses that support inclusive learning principles and promote equitable teaching practices, to the benefit of all learners.

Working Conditions / Work Schedule
This position is hourly. This position requires the ability to demonstrate the physical fitness activity to participants for the duration of the class. This position may require lifting up to 40 pounds, bending, twisting, and physical demands associated with fitness activity classes. Classes are offered in short blocks of time throughout the day and week, including early mornings, lunch times, and evenings. For example an Instructor may teach the same class for one hour on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
