RESPONSIBILITIES

Personal Trainers will conduct sessions to the standards of the certification held as well as the YMCA's mission and philosophy. This position functions includes but is not limited to obtaining clients, promoting personal training sessions and safely designing and implementing appropriate individual fitness programs for members. Ensure a clean, safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment for members and guests while they are participating in Health & Wellness programs
Demonstrate leadership capabilities and adaptability at the front of the class making each session fun and enjoyable while motivating participants
Based on class format, demonstrate the ability to move rhythmically to the beat of the music including the ability to incorporate optimal usage of cueing, tempo, choreography, and safe transitional, movements from one pattern to another
Responsible for service to members and participants by learning and using student's names and being available before and after class for questions from participants and parents; building effective relationships
Responsible for attending all scheduled classes; when an absence in unavailable, secures a substitute and provides guidance for that substitute
Constructively corrects members & class participants when incorrect or dangerous performance is observed
Demonstrates the highest level of safety in all activities
Represents the YMCA in a positive, professional manner always through adherence to the dress code and courtesy towards all members, guests, and staff
Responds to emergency and reports all incidents, as required
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required:
Must be 18 years old
Each candidate will have a formal interview, which may include a written and practical assessment, to demonstrate knowledge and competency as a personal trainer.
Current national certification from ACE, ACSM, AFAA, YMCA, NSCA, NETA or Cooper Institute.
All on-boarding safety training
Ability to relate and communicate well with individuals of all ages, races, religions, and communities
Current CPR/AED/First Aid/O2 Certification.
Preferred:
At least six months of experience as a participant or teaching group fitness classes.
The ability to teach a variety of class formats is highly desirable
Flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends
Education in nutrition, physical education, public health, etc.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Bilingual - English/Spanish a plus

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
The Family Support Provider (FSP) is to provide targeted support, advocacy, education, behavioral support and mediation/collaboration type services within a system of care that is child-centered and trauma-sensitive with the needs of the child and family dictating the types and mix of services provided, to assist in preventing an out-of-home placement.
Responsible for providing direct/indirect advocacy, behavioral support, education, case management and/or rehab services to maintain agency productivity requirement of 25 hours billable service per week.
Complete initial care plans, strengths and culture discoveries and intakes as needed, update and modify care plans as needed. Create a family plan and course of action based on individual needs of a family.
The FSP II will maintain close communication with the Project Director, Care Coordinator, Therapists, Physicians, etc.. and other clinical and administrative staffs in order to assure the highest quality of services are delivered to the client and his or her family.
To assist in preventing an out-of-home (or school) placement and/or in facilitating discharge from an inpatient or residential treatment facility.
To provide targeted support and advocacy services (behavior management, daily living skills, social skills); linkage with community supports; referral to local needed services; advocacy; service coordination; and follow up on behalf of client and their family who are experiencing emotional and/or behavioral challenges that are significantly interfering with their success at home, school, work or in the community.
Monitor and evaluate services provided to the families. Contact families as needed to monitor progress and inquire about new needs; Complete flex-fund requests when necessary. Provide transportation for clients and families to appointments, trainings, and meetings when a bus or cab is not appropriate.
Responsible for teaching about and implementing regular community meetings and safety plans with client(s) as part of commitment to the Sanctuary Model of client care.
Be a member of the family team to assist in the strengths assessment and care plan development. Recognize the individual child client and his/her family has different barriers to social, economic, and employment opportunities with varied levels of need to overcome these barriers. (The goals for each juvenile client as identified in the family team will be tailored to reflect a juvenile client's particular needs in order to realize her/her full potential).
Coordinating services between agencies and developing cooperative working relationships with agencies serving children and families.
Have knowledge of psychotropic medications and their actions.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to move from location to location, bending, stooping, lifting 25 pounds, communicate clearly, prepare written communications, present information to other employees, process complex information within established procedures/programs, enter data to various programs. Must be able to climb stairs and access non-handicapped equipped residences/facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Certified Personal Trainer will be responsible for providing one-on-one and couples personalized fitness instruction in person to clients at their home, apartment gym or outside while encouraging them to reach their fitness goals. Responsibilities are as follows:
Customize client workout programs developed from the Initial Assessment
Utilize the Svetness Fitness App for all client sessions, including programming & session notes
Demonstrate each exercise and ensure client is performing correctly with or without modifications
Conduct client Reassessments every 4-6 weeks
Maintain client session appointments through Svetness scheduling software
Able to provide a flexible schedule to accommodate client appointments
Able to commute to and from client sessions up to 45 minutes
QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Personal Trainer: Accredited by NCCA, DEAC, or NBFE.
CPR/AED Certification: Ensure clients' safety with up-to-date CPR/AED training.
Education and experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent and 1-3 years of personal training experience.
Strong communication skills: Effectively communicate verbally, in writing, and technically.
Knowledgeable in nutrition: Possess a basic understanding of nutrition and healthy living practices.
Fitness expertise: Familiarity with a variety of exercise equipment and personal training methods.
Physical ability: Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. and performing athletic calisthenics duties.
