Ecolab is seeking a Pest Control Technician Trainee to join our team in Washington, DC. As a Pest Control Technician Trainee, you'll be at the forefront of protecting public health and commercial businesses by delivering science-based pest elimination solutions. How You'll Make an Impact: * Participate in a 5-week paid training program to learn pest detection, elimination, and prevention techniques * Establish effective working relationships with a variety of commercial customers, including those in the hospitality and foodservice industries * Partner with customers on best practices to identify and solve pest elimination needs * Maintain expertise in Ecolab's product and service offerings to enhance service and sales * Use handheld computerized equipment to document structural, sanitation, and pest issues * Deliver timely, cost-effective, and high-quality service under close supervision * Obtain required pest control licensing and/or certification as mandated by state/local law Position Details: * Location: Washington DC * Work Week & Shift: Night Shift (Sunday-Thursday 9pm-5am) * Travel Requirement: Training in Eagan, MN for 1 week during training period. You are responsible to have the proper documentation to fly, such as a Real ID or other acceptable form of identification. Annual or Hourly Compensation Range The total Compensation range for this position is $53,600-$80,300 which includes base pay and target incentive based on performance, per plan terms after completion of the comprehensive paid training program. No previous pest control experience is required.We provide on the job training. This is a great company for someone who enjoys hands-on works, problem solving and customer service. Responsibilities: Inspect the interior and exterior of buildings and the surrounding environment to identify pest activity, entry. points and conducive conditions Perform residential and commercial pest control services according to company standards and state regulations Determine the types of pests and best possible treatment options Implement various pest control methods to treat the areas Accurately complete service reports, documentation and recommendations Maintain service vehicle, tools and equipment in clean and working condition Follow all safety protocols, company procedures, and regulatory requirements Communicate clearly with office staff, regarding schedules, findings and customer needs Qualifications: Previous experience as a Pest Control Technician or in a similar position preferred but NOT required High school diploma/GED preferred Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including standing for extended periods and crawling in small spaces MUST be comfortable with climbing on roofs and ladders MUST have a clean driving record Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols when dealing with potentially hazardous materials Excellent customer service skills Ability to maintain detailed records of payment and chemicals used
