Job Overview:
A Bloomingdale's Asset Protection Visual Security Officer's (VSO) primary role is to provide a visible and welcoming presence at the customer entrance that helps deter theft while aiding the customer shopping experience. General Job Summary

Responsibilities:

* Prepares various inspection reports on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis for Protective Services vehicles, firearms, medical response bags, eye wash stations and Company fire systems.
* Appropriately responds to emergency situations such as accident, fire, safety hazard, etc., as required.
* Controls parking and vehicular traffic on Company property to prevent unwarranted solicitation and ensure the safety of employees and visitors.
* Upon completion of state requirements to become commissioned, provides armed escort service for the movement of funds and other materials as required.
* Upon completion of First Responder certification, provides emergency first aid, CPR, and other medical assistance as required.
* Performs miscellaneous duties as requested, including rotating to other assigned posts or shifts and collecting and disposing of confidential and proprietary data.
* This job requires on-site work at a Mary Kay facility.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking to hire a SecurityGuard to join our MGP in Lawrenceburg, IN. This role will be responsible for the protection, safeguarding and security of assets, personnel, customer and all visitors.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Plant Security
Monitor all traffic in and out of the plant, both on foot and by vehicle.
Ensure each person entering the Guardhouse has a positive experience.
Theft prevention including searching personal effects, vehicles and equipment.
Closely monitor all CCTV equipment for all locations.
Make regular rounds throughout the facility checking for any hazards or intruders.
Operate and monitor the central communication system.
Schedule is for 2nd shift, with 12-hour shifts on alternating weekends
Emergency Response
Respond to all emergency notifications. Take action as needed or confirm false alarms.
Become familiar with and monitor the fire systems.
Monitor police scanner for severe weather or nefarious activities near the facility.
If necessary, contact EMS or Police and direct/escort them to the proper locations.
Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage and provides direction or information to others.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking to hire a SecurityGuard to join our MGP in Lawrenceburg, IN. This role will be responsible for the protection, safeguarding and security of assets, personnel, customer and all visitors.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Plant Security
Monitor all traffic in and out of the plant, both on foot and by vehicle.
Ensure each person entering the Guardhouse has a positive experience.
Theft prevention including searching personal effects, vehicles and equipment.
Closely monitor all CCTV equipment for all locations.
Make regular rounds throughout the facility checking for any hazards or intruders.
Operate and monitor the central communication system.
Schedule is for 2nd shift, with 12-hour shifts on alternating weekends
Emergency Response
Respond to all emergency notifications. Take action as needed or confirm false alarms.
Become familiar with and monitor the fire systems.
Monitor police scanner for severe weather or nefarious activities near the facility.
If necessary, contact EMS or Police and direct/escort them to the proper locations.
Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage and provides direction or information to others.
Provide basic first aid as needed.
Inspections and Documentation
Perform monthly inspections on all facility fire extinguishers.
Perform weekly inspections on all facility safety showers & eye wash stations.
Perform weekly inspection on all facility first aid kits & AEDs.
Perform periodic inspections of all perimeter fencings & gates.
Perform daily truck & trailer inventory.
Perform periodic safety inspections of contractors.
Inspect areas of Hot Work upon completion of the work.
Inspect all incoming and outgoing trucks for proper seals and paperwork.
Assist with maintaining proper maintenance of company vehicles.
File incidents reports when necessary.
Create, maintain and file all governmental paperwork.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
High school diploma or GED.
Basic First Aid training including CPR &AED.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
Previous security experience preferred.
Competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Office, Excel, Work and Windows applications).
Experience with union environment preferred.
