A wheelchair transport specialist provides transportation services for a disabled person. Using a van that's equipped with a lift and a mechanism to secure a wheelchair, the transport specialist wheels the patient to the van, safely raises the patient into the van on the lift, secures the patient's wheelchair and transports the patient to her destination. Upon arriving at the destination, the specialist detaches the wheelchair security device, safely lowers the patient out of the van using the lift, and wheels the patient to her destination.
Van Care
Wheelchair transport specialists care for the vans they drive. They clean and vacuum the interiors and ensure that all specialized equipment, such as wheelchair lifts, are in proper working order.
Transport specialists also wash and polish the outside of the vans to keep them clean and attractive. They may take a van to a mechanic for routine maintenance or when the specialized wheelchair equipment doesn't function properly.

Educational Requirements
The incumbent must have a minimum of either a high school diploma or a GED as evidence of completion of a high school education, and must have and maintain current state emergency medical technician and/or paramedic certification (license, if applicable)

The incumbent must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, current state EMT or Paramedic certification (license, if applicable), American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer and/or American Heart Association BCLS certification, EVOC/EVDT certification, Hazardous Materials Operations, PALS, ACLS, and other certifications as required.

Responsibilities:
Support the clinical operations of the clinic
Perform community outreach

We train and support in every area of practice success. We also welcome applicants who have experience with any or all of these techniques- Doctors with at least two years of experience, and doctors who have previously owned their own practice and realize the value of a team should feel free to apply!

Support the clinical operations of the clinic
Perform community outreach

Position Summary:
The Patient Care Coordinator - I (PCC-I) supports clinic growth through excellence in execution of the practice management role and patient intake processes. This individual will work in collaboration with the Clinic Director (CD) to carry out efficient clinic procedures. The PCC-I position is responsible for supporting the mission, vision, and values of Upstream Rehabilitation.
Responsibilities:
Core responsibilities
Collect all money due at the time of service
Convert referrals into evaluations
Schedule patient visits
Customer Service
Create an inviting clinic atmosphere.
Make all welcome calls
Monitor and influence arrival rate through creation of a great customer experience
Practice Management
Manage schedule efficiently
Manage document routing
Manage personal overtime
Manage non-clinical documentation
Manage deposits
Manage caseload, D/C candidate, progress note, and insurance reporting
Monitor clinic inventory
Training
o Attend any required training with the Territory Field Trainers (TFT) for Raintree and other business process updates.
Complete quarterly compliance training.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Communication skills - must be able to relate well to Business Office and Field leadership
Ability to multitask, organizational detail, ability to meet deadlines, work with little to no supervision
As a member of a team, must possess efficient time management and presentation skills
Physical Requirements:
This position is subject to inside environmental conditions: protections from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes; exposed to noise consistent with indoor environment.
This is a full-time position operating within normal business hours Monday through Friday, with an expectation of minimum of 40 hours per week; May be required to attend special events some evenings and weekends, or work additional hours as needed.
This position is subject to sedentary work.
Constantly sits, with ability to interchange with standing as needed.
Constantly communicates with associates, must be able to hear and speak to accurately exchange information in these situations.
Frequently operates a computer and other office equipment such as printers, phone, keyboard, mouse and copy machines using gross and fine manipulation.
Constantly uses repetitive motions to type.
Must be able to constantly view computer screen (near acuity) and read items on screen.
Must have ability to comprehend information provided, use judgement to appropriately respond in various situations.
Occasionally walks, stands, pushes or pulls 0-20 lbs., lifts 0-20 lbs. from floor to waist; carries, pushes, and pulls 0-20 lbs.
Rarely crawls, crouches, kneels, stoops, climbs stairs or ladders, reaches above shoulder height, lifts under 10 lbs. from waist to shoulder.

What is a Technician in a Physical Therapy Clinic?
The Technician is an unlicensed associate who works under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist.
The technician works in the clinic in accordance with state Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy Practice Acts and company policy and procedures.
Technicians must have excellent organizational skills and attentive insight to contribute to exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
Preparing equipment and treatment areas for patient use.
Assisting and/or observing patients perform prescribed therapy exercises and documenting patient responses to treatment.
Performing basic prescribed treatments such as applying ice packs and heat pads as instructed.
Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and therapy areas, as well as changing and laundering linens.
Performing administrative tasks, including assisting with patient intake, answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Organizational detail and ability to multitask.
Proficient in the use of computers and learning new software programs.
