Works with other departments such as the Rehab therapies and Home Health to provide therapeutic and recreation and may lead activities or assist participants in maximizing active participation.
Plans and implements social meals and potlucks.
Works with LTC staff, activity staff, volunteers and community members to create a diverse and inclusive program.
Helps to escort participants to functions and Adult Day planned program events.
Keeps recreational records for each participant as needed.
Contributes to the development of each participant's activity plan. Suggests ongoing revisions and provides input into progress toward activity goals.
Provides one-on-one interaction and activities for those participants unable to participate in -group activities.
Maintains bulletin boards, PSAs, community notification.
Creates decorations for holidays and special events.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age or older.
A degree in recreation therapy or closely related field preferred. Two (2) years of experience in planning and leading activities for vulnerable populations helpful.
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) experience is preferred but not required.
Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm and the ability to keep work related situations confidential.
Must possess the skills and ability to work with the aged, chronically ill, Alzheimer patients and physically handicapped.
The ability to classify functioning levels of participants and provide activities to meet exercise needs, cultural needs, arts, crafts, sensory stimulation programs, group and one-on-one activities and social needs as outlined.
Shall become CPR certified and / or maintain CPR certification.
Will have an Alaska driver's license and complete the training to become a certified driver of the PMC handicapped van.

Responsibilities
Dust and mopping of all hallways upstairs previous to being scrubbed and buffed.
Cleans bathrooms thoroughly
Dust and mops assigned areas daily.
Damp dust bed frames and furniture. Cleans windows and windowsills. Cleans radiators.
Changes curtains as needed. Changes mop heads daily.
Changes mop water with every other room. Treats dust mop to weekly with Zep-O-Mist
Damp dusts around sprinkler heads.
Fills in and does Laundry when needed.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience as a housekeeper or maid helpful. Must be able to follow guidelines for cleaning approved by the Infection Preventionist.
Physical job - must be able to walk, bend, stoop, and run basic equipment. Work requires standing for most of the shift.

Working EnvironmentWorks in a clean, well-lit environment around patients, residents, family members and employees. This part time position will be responsible for implementing the "Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance" program (TJQMBB), an evident-based falls prevention program. The Tai Ji Quan Facilitator will work as part of the PMC Community Wellness Team to support the new Administration for Community Living (ACL) Falls Prevention grant awarded to Petersburg Medical Center. The balance training regimen will be held in-person, twice a week, for twenty-four (24) weeks at a time for older adults at risk for falling and people with balance disorders. Tai Ji Quan Facilitators will oversee the twice weekly program and will be responsible for the planning, coordination and implementation necessary to make the TJQMBB program successful. In addition to leading workshop sessions, the position provides leadership for in-person classes by collaborating with other departments and community partners to recruit and retain participants and complete the required data collection elements for grant reporting.
Responsibilities and DutiesThe Tai Ji Quan Facilitator is responsible for completing a live on-line instructor training. Upon training completion, the Facilitator will:
Work within the PMC Community Wellness team to implement in-person evidence based fall prevention programming fidelity
Work with other departments, such as Home Health, Rehabilitation and Long Term Care, to engage patients and residents in Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance
Work with community partners to increase capacity and program attendance
Promote a safe, nurturing, healthy and positive environment
Engage with participants to ensure program retention and assist participants as needed
Effectively communicate and collaborate as a team member
Perform other duties as assigned
HoursThe program sessions are currently scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday mornings, though this is subject to change. Set-up, clean-up and program communications related to recruitment and retention of participants will total approximately 4-6 hours per week.
Skills and AbilitiesAll employees are expected to have a broad range of skills and abilities centered around a strong patient focus, efficient performance and teamwork. Customer service skills, interpersonal skills and good communication skills along with the ability to manage their time and organize their work to ensure efficient time management is a must. Job Summary
The Clinical Applications Coordinator serves as an electronic health record (EHR) specialist in the implementation and ongoing support of multi-service clinical software applications used for the electronic health record (EHR). The Clinical Applications Coordinator supports the daily interface between Health Systems staff and the electronic health record (EHR). The Clinical Applications Coordinator duties involve serving as the coordinator for deploying new portions of the EHR in specified locations, consulting with the Health Systems Departments in customizing software and altering workflow processes in the daily operation of the electronic health record.
Essential Functions
Responsible for the implementation and support of all electronic health record (EHR) with the Health Systems Departments
Manages the customization of the site parameters and addresses integration issues with other software packages
Analyzes and evaluates processes related to information flow and assists Health Systems Departments Provides training to staff on current software applications and new features, and ensures training is scheduled for all new users
Emphasizes timeliness, accuracy, security and the importance of these functions on every other clinical application
Promotes an awareness of the importance of data validity and data security
Coordinates efforts to correct deficiencies and errors that occur in the electronic health record (EHR)
Ensures compliance with Tribal, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, Tribal policies and TERO ordinance
