Peterson Power Systems has a need for a traveling EPG FieldTechnician. The person will work remotely and will be required to travel to data center locations throughout the country.
SUMMARY
The EPG FieldTechnician performs repairs to Electrical Power Generation (EPG) equipment at designated customer locations.

Perform inspections on equipment as needed.
Write service reports that accurately document activities.
Prepare required documentation including work orders, parts lists, and timecards in an accurate and timely manner to enable other employees to do their job in a timely manner.
Solicit information regarding opportunities for engine system sales and service and pass information to engine systems Sales staff and Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) in a timely manner.
Operate company, rental, or personal vehicle as needed to transport parts and equipment and perform other field service duties.
Ensure assigned company vehicle maintains a clean professional appearance and is in proper working order.
Attend scheduled technical training and safety training in person or online (virtual).
Work overtime as needed within labor law guidelines.
Travel up to 100% of the time to meet customer service requirements including overnight stays and out of territory travel.
Be on call to respond to customer service needs during the evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree from a fully accredited college or certificate from technical/vocational school in Diesel Technology or other closely related field; and a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in power generation or engine service, preferably in a heavy industrial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Applicants must have the ability to travel 100% of the time.

Completion of a certified electrical safety course

APC is looking for an individual who lives in the Home Nebraska area, to help develop and maintain production, cleaning and maintenance SOP's for each collection site and work with collection site management on any issues that arise.JOB DUTIES:
Travel to collection plants as assigned by management. Submit written reports after each visit. Distribute reports to APC leadership and collection site contacts.
Troubleshoot and repair production equipment at each of the collection sites. Include scope of work in each collection site visit report.
Ensure collection plants are making quality plasma.
Act as a point of contact, interacting with collection site employees, in a manner that promotes APC positively.
Collect samples throughout the plasma collection system to assure quality plasma is being produced.
When not traveling to collection sites, work in areas as assigned by management.
Be available on short notice to visit and troubleshoot at any of the collection sites.
Assist with the construction of any new collection sites and installation of new equipment at any of the existing sites.
Ability to troubleshoot and program PLC/PLC operated equipment as well as general knowledge of the programs and functions at company and collection sites.
Maintain company vehicle appropriately (i.e. oil change, tires, washing, etc…).

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The Rental Commercial Engine Shop Technician performs service activities in the shop on rental fleet equipment, including but not limited to repairs and maintenance on generators, air compressors, and related equipment. Safety inspections of equipment
Equipment check-ins/outs per manufacturer, ANSI, OSHA standards utilizing Peterson's inspection program
Washing and cleaning equipment, moving equipment around rental yard, answering customer questions, explaining/demonstrating equipment operation to customers, and assisting in loading / unloading equipment
Ensures that all equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections comply with manufacturer and company service guidelines in addition to ANSI, OSHA, and other government regulation standards
Ensures work orders are accurate and complete
Keeps operations team informed and updated on daily shop operations and possible problem situations, including but not limited to any redo
Sends parts for warranty consideration to Parts Warehouse
Conducts damage assessments and completes reports of equipment damage, per rental procedures, as directed
Supports company safety and housekeeping standards
Maintains excellent communications and cooperation with all co-workers, management, and other company departments. Communicates with internal and external customers in a manner that promotes a positive relationship.
Attends scheduled technical and safety training (in-person or online) and completes assigned training in a timely manner.
Ensures assigned company vehicle maintains a clean, professional appearance and is in proper working order (if applicable).
