Coordinate the inputs of Lead Architect, Architect of Record, structural engineers, MEP engineers, rail systems, and civil engineering teams in developing the detailed design of the stations. Coordinate with the Digital Delivery team responsible for the management and administration of the model-based design environment. Manage schedule and budgets of internal MMW staff and sub-consultants in the development of design. Communicate with the Project Controls team to assure compatibility and continuity of information from all project interfaces. Work with the Quality Manager to ensure that the MMW Design Quality Management Plan is followed. This Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) inspector position will be based in West Los Angeles and on project sites in the area. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Visits construction sites and inspects each stage of construction up to completion. Interpret plans, specifications, and codes (general and specific to MEP) and verify that contract work is performed in accordance with them. Assist in obtaining approved designs and permits from utility companies for services to construction sites. Monitor construction sites for safety violations. Prepares Non-Conformance Reports when work is not performed to the approved standards. Maintains daily activity logs and reports. Review or prepare interim progress reports for contractor payments.
