Communicate with the Project Controls team to assure compatibility and continuity of information from all project interfaces. Work with the Quality Manager to ensure that the MMW Design Quality Management Plan is followed. Serve as a liaison and coordinate with PMT's Facilities Engineering Manager, and with VTA's External Affairs Team in matters related to the station. Other duties as assigned to meet project requirements and objectives, and to ensure a cooperative team approach. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Architecture required. State of California Professional Engineer (PE) or Architectural Registration (RA) license preferred. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in multi-disciplinary design engineering, preferably transit projects. Authorization to work in the United States. While there is no active position at this time, we are proactively building our talent pipeline for future projects and staffing needs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Visits construction sites and inspects each stage of construction up to completion. Interpret plans, specifications, and codes and verify conformance of contract work. Prepares daily reports on labor, material, and equipment on site. Determines whether construction conforms to plans and specifications, if prepares Non-Conformance Reports for corrective action. Review or prepare interim progress reports for contractor payments.
