The Sterile Processing Distribution (SPD) Supervisor effectively supervises department operations and staff resources to meet patient care needs. Responsibilities include leading the staff to meet customer satisfaction, employee engagement, FTE and financial budgets, quality of work, compliance and performance goals. Participates in the review and implementation of department policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, best practice and recommended professional standards. Instructs and teaches staff and others as deemed on sterilization practices. Encourages and supports staff growth and development. Meets daily with Perioperative leadership team to review future case needs to enable effective surgical case planning of instruments and supplies. Performs SPD Technician position responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
Certifications: certified Surgical Technologist (CST) within 1 year - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
Responsibilities
Recommends personnel actions for hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures. Ensures staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks. Assists in developing the departmental capital budget. Assists in meeting operating budgets for staff, instruments, and supplies. Endorses and performs all required tasks associated with the Carle Experience such as, but not limited to, rounding, development or scouting and stoplight reports. Audits and monitors sterilization. Performs routine and ad hoc audits of processing and distribution functions. Identifies and researches problems and takes corrective action as required. Verifies the processing and sterilization processes on a daily basis. Works closely with SPD Instrument and Inventory Specialists and Materials Management staff to maintain proper levels of sterile instrument trays and equipment as well as patient care supplies. Ensures smooth operation of all departmental functions according to approved policies and in accordance with all state and federal law, standards of professional practice, and applicable accreditation standards. Kids in the Game is looking for Group Division Leaders that will work closely with the Camp Director and Assistant Directors to make the 2025 summer the best one ever. Will you be tying shoes, putting on sunscreen, answering a million little one's questions? Absolutely. But you will also be going on field trips, playing sports, and changing kids' lives all day long and there is nothing better than that. Most importantly you will be providing a supportive, safe, and fun environment for the youth of New York City to grow and learn while experiencing the non-stop fun of Summer Camp!
The Division Leader is energetic and will oversee up to 3-4 groups of campers (10-15 campers per group) along with approximately 6-8 counselors.
Engage with campers, keeping daily notes and handling any camper issues within your division.
Work to reduce conflict among campers, create a team-friendly environment with positivity.
Collaborate with Camp Director and Assistant Director to train and evaluate Head and Assistant Counselors
Demonstrate organizational skills: lesson planning, timelines, meet deadlines, following schedules and set goals.
Hold weekly division meetings with counselors to go over the weekly schedule, field trips and other group needs.
Assist Camp Director and Assistant Directors in any special event planning and execution for your division.
Support in planning and executing the activities in coordination with the weekly theme guides.
Act as a primary supervisor along with the Off Site Assistant Director on off-site trips.
Attend staff outings to take a break and enjoy time with coworkers outside of camp

Compensation Range:
This is a part-time, seasonal position based in New York City. The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated Gene Therapy Manufacturing (GTM) Lead to establish REGENXBIO's 1 internal GMP BDS and FDP clinical and commercial AAV gene therapy manufacturing capability. As a member of the highly engaged and collaborative Manufacturing Value Stream team, you will have the unique opportunity to start-up an agile, multi-product, single-use facility. The GTM Lead will play an important role in leading the establishment of new processes, procedures and ways of working, as well as performing manufacturing process related tasks and unit operations within the Upstream, Downstream and/or Fill Finish areas.

* Coordinate daily operations and lead GTM personnel to complete production activities safely and compliantly, in accordance with OSHA and cGMP guidelines.
* Proactively work to achieve training competency in an expanding manufacturing facility.
* Perform as a subject matter expert (SME) and qualified trainer for most GMP manufacturing operations, processes and equipment for US, DS, and/or FF areas.
* Lead root cause analysis for manufacturing events of varying complexity.
* Lead projects of minor to moderate scope with the support of cross-functional stakeholders.
* Travel up to 5% or less of the time is required

* Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree/High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant cGMP experience.
* 6+ years cGMP experience in biologics, pharmaceutical and/or vaccine manufacturing operations, including experience in cell culture, recovery, purification, bulk formulation and/or fill finish.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong technical writing ability required.
* Excellent teaching and facilitation skills for on-the-job training delivery.
* Expert in authoring, revising and/or reviewing GMP documentation (i.e. SOPs, Batch Records, etc.).
* Strong organizational and leadership skills.
* Strong experience in GMP quality systems, including deviation root cause analysis tools.
* Ability to apply continuous improvement and operational excellence strategies within a manufacturing organization.
* Ability to think critically in regard to problem solving and troubleshooting.
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
* Strong subject matter expertise in GMP Manufacturing operations, processes and equipment for US, DS, and/or FF areas.
* Experience in aseptic fill finish and AAV manufacturing/viral transfection.
* Experience in supporting facility start-up, commissioning and qualification activities.
* Hands on experience with single-use technologies and systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet and engage clients in a positive and friendly manner
Provide the highest level of client/customer service and hospitality to all clients/prospective clients
Share pricing and class information with prospective clients
Deliver Megaformer machine demos to new clients
Complete studio tours with new clients
Work alongside and support SLT instructors to ensure a successful and seamless client check-in and class experience
Ensure complete knowledge of Mariana Tek system
Assist Management with day-to-day operations of the studio
Ensure prompt response to studio emails; notify Studio Manager if needed
Understand SLT product knowledge, policies and procedures for retail operations
Complete basic Megaformer machine maintenance
Actively maintain studio cleanliness and organization between each class so each client receives the best SLT experience
Assist in retail inventory at the end of the month
Complete opening and/or closing checklists
Perform other studio duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Mariana Tek software experience a plus
Leadership experience a plus
Must have superior customer service skills
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a service-oriented outlook
Must be highly organized
