The Pharmacist supports a high-volume inpatient pharmacy serving a 600-bed facility with a daily census of 500-600 patients. This role focuses on sterile IV compounding, medication preparation, and efficient medication distribution using DoseEdge and other automated systems.
Key Responsibilities (Brief)
Perform sterile IV compounding in compliance with all safety and quality standards.
Operate DoseEdge workflow management system for medication preparation.
Support medication distribution using automated dispensing systems (e.g., Pyxis ES).
Utilize Meditech EMR for medication documentation and processes.
Maintain accuracy, sterility, and efficiency in a fast-paced inpatient pharmacy setting.
Collaborate with pharmacists and team members to meet high service demands.
Float to assigned areas as needed and adhere to all unit policies and guidelines.
Work every other weekend as scheduled.

Monitors drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies and appropriateness of drug and dose.
Assists with pharmacokinetics consult service and renal drug dosing per hospital protocol.
Reads, extracts, and interprets information in patient medical records accurately.
Detects and reports suspected adverse drug reactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Sustains the hospital drug formulary, minimizing non-formulary procurements, utilizing therapeutic substitution protocols, and promoting rational drug therapy selection.
Provides clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners as appropriate.
Provides accurate, adequate, and timely drug information to the hospital's professional staff.
Provides drug education to patients and their families per institutional protocol.

Participates in antibiotic stewardship, opioid stewardship, and shortage management activities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled 503A Staff Pharmacist to join our team at FARMAKEIO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and compliant compounding of medications in accordance with state and federal regulations, including FDA guidelines for 503A pharmacies.
This role requires strong attention to detail, a deep understanding of pharmacology, and a commitment to providing the highest quality patient care.
This is an on-site role in Richardson, TX - Monday through Friday, 3:00p to 11:00p
Responsibilities
Review and verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness for patients.
Compound and dispense medications following regulatory guidelines and patient-specific instructions.
Provide consultation to healthcare professionals and patients on medication usage and potential side effects.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of medication orders and dispensing
Stay up to date with industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations.
Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pharmacy from an accredited U.S. College of Pharmacy.
Must hold a current pharmacist license in the state of Texas.
Willingness to obtain licensure in additional states as required to meet state-specific regulatory obligations.

The CMOP program provides prescription mailings for veterans and other patients. Services being sought will be utilized to assist in supporting CMOP's mission by preparing prescriptions and packages in an accurate, timely, and cost-effective manner without disruption in services or production.
The Candidate
ProSidian seeks a Registered Pharmacist to support engagement with The Veteran's Affairs Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP). This position serves as a key member of the facility leadership team providing services that include, but are not limited to, pharmaceutical verification of prescription orders of legend, over the counter (OTC), medical-surgical (Med/Surg), and controlled substances to patients requiring care. In addition, the candidate shall provide patient consultation, quality improvement, and supply control duties.
Furthermore, the candidate shall direct the delivery of pharmacy services, efficient and effective drug distribution, and education to improve patient quality of life, minimize therapeutic risk, and enhance clinical outcomes. Education:

Description: The Residency program is created to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions.
