The Lead, Pharmacy Technician is responsible for monitoring and prioritizing the medication dispensing workflow at the market level for all Medication and Pharmacy Technicians. In accordance with state and federal regulations, the incumbent in this role assists the Medication/Pharmacy Techs as well as, physicians and clinicians in the performance of dispensing functions under the Physician Dispensing protocol while adhering to company policies and procedures. He/She facilitates the implementation of policies and procedures and ensures compliance with quality standards. The Lead, Pharmacy Technician ensures that Medication/Pharmacy Technicians have the resources and training necessary to perform their jobs effectively.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates in and assists with implementing processes that improve Medication Adherence in our Centers.
Aids in the implementation of pharmacy objectives as determined by market leadership in partnership with the corporate Medication COE team.
Takes part in the employment cycle of Pharmacy/Medication Techs by participating in the recruitment process, screening of candidates and interviews.
Provides day-to-day oversight of Pharmacy/ Medication Techs led by the Care Supervisors in partnership with the Center Manager.
Trains new and existing personnel on medication dispensing and medication adherence processes.
Meets with Med/Pharm Techs on a weekly basis or as needed to ensure a successful and efficient Medication Adherence/HEDIS Part D program.
Collaborates with the Market Clinical Manager to balance Pharm/Med Tech staffing across the market to ensure adequate coverage.
Reviews medication incident reports and identifies opportunities for improvement to prevent future errors.
Escalates significant issues to the attention of market leadership with recommendations for solutions while maintaining open communication with Medication COE for additional support, tools and resources.
Collaborates with market leadership to support the growth and development of Med/Pharm Techs by providing continual feedback regarding performance.
Other responsibilities may include:
Participates in quality self-assessments. Participates in the development of action plans for identified areas of opportunity.
Meets with Medication COE, HEDIS and Clinical Operations/Quality on a monthly basis or as needed to report feedback.
Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager's discretion.

PAY RANGE:
$18.5 - $26.45 Hourly
The posted pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for this position. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for a bonuses or commissions.

Billing
Generate statements, insurance forms, and patient bills according to daily schedule.
Retrieve dictated reports or progress notes.
Review all reports for medications listed and forward the errors to Excelsia Physician's office for corrections.

Finalize and prepare bills and documents for submission (electronic and paper).

Translates Spanish speaking patient information to pharmacist and staff to ensure medication safety.

Review accounts in all databases (where applicable) for accuracy.
Resubmit claims if necessary.

As the per-dem pharmacist, you will be responsible in managing our pharmacy relationship with our health center client. Our pharmacists play an important role in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care in communities that are most in need. This includes immunizations, patient consultation, medication therapy management, and potential management of high risk patients.

Schedule: PRN working as needed and covering PTO
Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of manager, this position is responsible for dispensing and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medications to all customers.
Maintains open communication and is available to customers and practitioner sites for consultation
Participates in supervision of technical staff
Ensure pharmacy is compliant with best practices for 340B contract pharmacies
Provide professional consultation to both patients and prescribers of partner health facility
Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' work flow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferred
Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania required
Immunization Certification or willing to become a certified immunizer within 90 days of hire preferred
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Interpersonal relations and customer service skills
340B experience preferred
Vendor Credentialing may be required
Anticipated hourly range: $56.10 per hour - $80.30 per hour

The purpose of this position is to process requests for insurance coverage of formulary and non-formulary drugs that reject at the dispensing pharmacy based on pre-determined plan criteria.
Daily Responsibilities:
• Review Prior Authorization cases and render coverage determination based on clinical criteria and plan design in a fast paced environment
• Consulting physicians/providers with questions and interpretations of clinical guideline criteria and coverage determinations that have been rendered
• Participate in quality improvement and process enhancement projects
• Maintain productive working relationships with team members, other internal and external customers, etc.
Qualifications
• Clear and active Pharmacist license in state of PA

Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
Promotes safe and rational infusion therapy for patients based on orders from a prescriber.
Works collaboratively to assure patient and caregivers understand and become independent with their plan of care. Adjusts the care plan based on patient response, interventions and prescriber orders.
Typical infusion therapies include antimicrobial, TPN, hydration, pain management, chemotherapy, inotrope, immunotherapy, monoclonal antibody, corticosteroid, gastrointestinal agents, clotting factors, etc.
Monitors drug therapy, assesses patient response, drug interactions, side effects, toxicity and interprets lab results.
Enters home infusion orders and documentation, assures the patient file tells the story of the treatment course, problems, goals, interventions, response and outcome.
Maintains relationships with medical, nursing, social and other services involved in the care of patients at home. Advises prescribers, nurses and other staff regarding medication administration, monitoring of drug therapy and disease states.
Contributes to multidisciplinary team committees, development of policies and drug administration guidelines, pharmacy student preceptorship and various other projects.
Participates in the On Call pharmacist role.
Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
