The ideal candidate will ensure efficient fulfillment of orders, offer medication counseling, and advise on general health topics. Responsibilities * Review prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients. * Compound sterile and non-sterile medications using standard formulas and processes, such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients. * Direct pharmacy employees engaged in mixing, packaging, labeling, and changing prescription orders. * Ensure accurate intake of prescription orders and efficient fulfillment of orders. * Dispense medications and provide support and counsel to nursing facility staff on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications. * Advise physicians about medication therapy and counsel nursing facility staff on general health topics like diet, exercise, and stress management. * Provide information on products such as durable medical equipment or home healthcare supplies. Essential Skills * Proficiency in pharmacy practices including prior authorization and compounding. * Possession of a Pharmacy License in the State of Minnesota. * Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or school. * At least 2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy environment. * Strong leadership abilities to coordinate multiple associates and provide direction. * Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Willingness to obtain licensure for multiple states as requested. * Long-term care pharmacy experience as a Pharmacist is preferred but not required. Work Environment This position follows a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule, from Thursday to Wednesday. The shifts are as follows: Thursday from 9 PM to 7 AM, Friday and Saturday from 9 PM to 9 AM, and Sunday to Wednesday from 9 PM to 6 AM. The workweek totals 66.5 hours with a 30-minute unpaid break during each shift. An additional 10 hours is paid and split between the two weeks, resulting in 76.5 hours documented on the timecard. Training will involve rotating through different shifts over four weeks, with the possibility of moving to overnights on the fourth week or remaining on day/evening shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chanhassen, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62.00 - $70.00/hr.
