In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of medication deliveries while acting as a key support system for the Office Manager. This position requires someone who can effectively manage dispatch details while maintaining smooth day-to-day office operations, bridging the gap between pharmacy logistics and general administration.
Key Responsibilities
Review and organize manifests for medication deliveries to ensure all packages and prescriptions are included and accounted for.
Verify that each manifest is complete with no missing items before dispatching deliveries to drivers.
Confirm the proper handling of temperature-sensitive items and affix necessary route labels and barcodes to packages.
Communicate directly with outsourced delivery drivers to ensure they understand priority manifests, special instructions, and required delivery sequences.
Act as the primary point of contact for addressing any issues related to delivery accuracy, unexpected delays, or missing items.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all deliveries to ensure strict compliance with company policies and procedures.
Collaborate with facility representatives to address delivery concerns and uphold high standards of service.
Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the Office Manager, including filing, faxing, answering telephones, and ordering supplies.
Utilize Microsoft Office to prepare professional emails and update tracking spreadsheets.
Prepare daily bank deposits accurately and efficiently.
Work within the internal pharmacy system to update patient records and run operational reports.
Provide general customer support and assist with additional administrative duties as assigned.

* Practices in accordance with all federal and state regulations, DFCI policies and Joint Commission standards.

Qualifications
The Infusion Pharmacist II must meet the following requirements to be hired and maintain their position in the Pharmacy Department at DFCI.
Minimum Education:All Pharmacists require a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of Pharmacy.
Minimum Experience:3 year of hospital pharmacy, ambulatory care, sterile compounding experience or 5 years retail pharmacy experience with 2 years oncology experience required. Or completion of a PGY1 residency.
License/Certification/Registration:Must be licensed to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Some satellite locations require additional licensure.

Job Summary

This position reports to the Director of Pharmacy or their designee. Responsibilities
Checks unit dose medication for appropriate drug, dose, quantity, and packaging integrity.
Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy.
Facilitates availability of first doses and specialty items; maintains adequate medication supplies.
Completes monthly controlled substances audits and quality assessment rounds.
Maintains and enforces the documentation and security of narcotic medications.
Review medication orders for therapeutic appropriateness; Reviews transcription of medication orders.
Updates medications on administrative records.
Provides pharmacokinetic monitoring of patients receiving specific drugs and ensures that serum concentrations are drawn; monitors parental nutrition.
Observes for adverse drug reactions; documents all medication incidents within the reporting module.
Provides medication counseling to patients; provides drug information to physicians, nurses, patients and other health care professionals.
Documents interventions with health care personnel related to drug therapy.
Performs drug utilization evaluations on medications; oversees activities of medication administration nurses; participates in patient care rounds.
Provides in-service education to hospital health care professionals.
Repackages bulk medications in unit-dose packages safely and accurately per established procedures using appropriate techniques.

Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy or equivalent.

IV experience preferred.

Education & Experience:

Computer Skills
: Intermediate proficiency with Pharmacy and medication distribution software (Pyxis Medbank, Frameworks, Experience with long term care pharmacy software preferred.
Language Skills

Job Summary
The Radiopharmacist is a senior member of the professional staff working in the BWH - BICOR facility. The purpose of BICOR is to fulfill the need for radiotracers for researchers and clinicians. Under the supervision of BICOR administration and in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures the Radiopharmacist has several roles ranging from overseeing general lab maintenance and inventory control to the support of daily compounding and manufacturing.
The radiopharmacist works in conjunction with BICOR administration to define daily responsibilities within the facility while operating in accordance with all applicable institutional, state, and federal regulations governing the dispensing or distribution of radioactive materials.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for operating the Radiopharmacy independently and staffing BICOR manufacturing units during operating hours as needed. Shifts and responsibilities are subject to change according to clinical, research, and staffing needs
* Oversees and performs SPECT radiopharmaceutical preparation, quality control, and dispensing
* Performs PET compounding, manufacturing, quality control, and distribution
* Compares handwritten results documented on manufacturing and compounding batch records with product specifications. Releases product when handwritten results are within specifications
* Oversees inventory management systems for SPECT radiopharmaceuticals and other materials necessary to meet dispensing needs
* Completes and/or oversees maintenance and system suitability for equipment used daily and verifies or records results
* Verifies all cleanroom parameters required for daily operation
* Responsible for cleanliness of facility in accordance with the documented cleaning schedules
* Notifies the Engineering Department of any Out of Specification results within cleanrooms and associated equipment
* Performs or ensures that radiation wipes and surveys onshipping containers, supplies, incoming packages, and workspaces are completed
* Works with the Quality Systems Administration team to monitor overall integrity of the cGMP manufacturing process
* Assists in the preparation of documentation for ANDA, IND and RDRC regulatory reviews
* Provides training and direction to staff as needed
* Identifies and reports to management any quality or compliance concerns and takes immediate corrective action as required
* Assists with the instruction of students (pharmacy and nuclear medicine technologists) and medical residents on practical aspects of radiopharmaceutical production, quality control and radiation safety
* Provides information on radioactive pharmaceuticals to outside inquiries including pharmacies, physicians and researchers
Qualifications
* Must be a graduate of an AACP accredited pharmacy program and be Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy licensed or Board eligible
* Must have completed a program in nuclear pharmacy including course work in radiation safety, radiopharmacy techniques, health physics and instrumentation or equivalent experience
* Must have experience in computer data entry, ordering, and compiling data
