Qualifications/Skills:
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required

Basic Qualifications

Perform Quality Assurance functions and supervision of contracted Pharmacy Technicians.
Follow CMOP policies regarding documentation and reports to meet VA and TJC policy.
Note any unusual doses, wrong drug, wrong strength, or drug mix up and report the information in accordance with local CMOP policies.
Provide full checking, labeling, and quality assurance within the guidance (written VHA handbooks, written CMOP policies, and training that will be provided by the CMOP) of the Department of Veterans Affairs regarding pharmaceutical medications.
Dispense medications within corporate and regulatory guidelines for controlled substances.
Must be able to follow SOP and procedures as required.
Must be able to understand the precautions required when handling hazardous materials and hazardous waste
QUALIFICATIONS:
Shall be licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
Shall be Certified Technician (CPhT) with a current valid certification by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
Must be licensed for controlled substances.
Pass a background check (Tier 1 investigation).
EDUCATION:
Must be a graduate of an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school or university. The CMOP program provides prescription mailings for veterans and other patients. Services being sought will be utilized to assist in supporting CMOP's mission by preparing prescriptions and packages in an accurate, timely, and cost-effective manner without disruption in services or production.
The Candidate
ProSidian seeks a Registered Pharmacist to support engagement with The Veteran's Affairs Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP). This position serves as a key member of the facility leadership team providing services that include, but are not limited to, pharmaceutical verification of prescription orders of legend, over the counter (OTC), medical-surgical (Med/Surg), and controlled substances to patients requiring care. In addition, the candidate shall provide patient consultation, quality improvement, and supply control duties.
Furthermore, the candidate shall direct the delivery of pharmacy services, efficient and effective drug distribution, and education to improve patient quality of life, minimize therapeutic risk, and enhance clinical outcomes. The candidate's leadership attributes in Pharmacy management shall ensure the delivery and attainment of patient care quality metrics, evaluate the performance of Pharmacy Technicians duties, and drive client satisfaction outcomes.
This is a Contract Contingent position and the Registered Pharmacist services shall be performed at the: Veteran's Affairs Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) facility at: 3675 E Britannia Drive, Tucson, AZ 85706. The selected candidate is expected to fulfil the duties to a satisfactory level of professionalism and quality.

In order to perform the duties set forth for this project, the Registered Pharmacist must meet both the minimum education and experience requirements set forth:
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
Licensure:
A current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in the State of Arizona or in possession of an active license from another state that enjoys reciprocity with the state of Arizona.
The candidate must have passed the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) and the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE).
Experience:
Demonstrable proficiency in the compounding of prescriptions, drugs, chemicals, and pharmaceutical supplies required in the operation of a pharmacy;
Dispense medications prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners and providing information to health practitioners and patients about proper usage of medications and side effects;
Conduct drug utilization reviews, counsel patients on the proper use of medication while evaluating medication use patterns and outcomes for patients leveraging adherence best practices;
Apply knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the legal operation of a pharmacy to comply with laws, regulations, and policies governing pharmacy operations;
Provide oversight of CMOP facility by developing and implementing operational procedures, maintain accurate records and document actions taken while safeguarding the confidentiality of medical records;
Apply inventory control expertise in establishing medication-handling procedures for the storage and preservation of medications;
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with fellow medical professionals and patients; develop harmonious professional relationships with clinic staff; and
Supervise Pharmacy Technicians in the performance of work-related to sterile products, prescription filling, and ward/clinic supply.

Standard night shifts through 12/25
Beginning 12/26/25: 7 on / 7 off rotation

Qualifications:
3+ years of hospital pharmacist experience required
Must have experience in a high-acuity acute care hospital
Required experience includes:
NICU
Cardiac cases including Impella and ECMO
Strong knowledge of federal/state pharmacy laws, DEA regulations, and TJC standards
Active Pharmacist license (AZ or compact eligible)
Proficiency with IV admixture preparation, nutritional supplement compounding, and narcotic accountability
Responsibilities:
Ensure safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of medications to all patient populations
Collaborate closely with physicians on drug selection and dosing
Provide medication-related education for nursing staff, physicians, and patients
Participate in Medication Safety initiatives
Maintain and review patient profiles, monitor therapy effectiveness, and prevent medication errors
Prepare and mix IV admixtures and nutritional supplements
Monitor, document, and report adverse drug reactions
Maintain strict compliance with hospital, departmental, state, federal, and DEA guidelines
