What you will do: Interpret physician orders for medications and prescriptions by profiling, preparing, labeling, and dispensing prescription medications from the retail pharmacy in accordance with all applicable pharmacy laws. Evaluate medications for dosage, route, frequency, and interactions, and provide care based upon physical, motor/sensory, psychosocial, and safety that is appropriate to the age of the patient served. Counsel the patient with the appropriate medication information about the medication prescribed. Responsible for inventory control in the pharmacy by maintaining par levels of medications and aiding in prescription pricing strategies. In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, ensure that day to day operations of the pharmacy are in compliance with the Colorado State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations, as well as supervise and coordinate the Pharmacy Technicians' activities and duties. Assist the Pharmacy Manager with personnel decisions, including hiring, disciplinary actions, and evaluations.
