The Director, Pharmacy Supply Chain Resilience will be responsible for leading and supporting activities related to FDA grant project 1R01FD008718‑01: Identifying drugs vulnerable to shortage or fraudulent activity and proactively addressing barriers to outsourcing facility production of drugs to prevent shortages. At ASHP, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. The salary range for this position is $140,000‑165,000 and ASHP offers a comprehensive benefits plan. This position is eligible to be remote but the individual must work from one of the following states so we can follow appropriate tax laws: AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KY, MA, MD, MI, MN, MS, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TX, VA, WI, WV. What You'll Be Doing
Works with Grants Manager and Principal Investigator (PI) to design, execute, and monitor programs and activities related to FDA grant project 1R01FD008718‑01: Identifying drugs vulnerable to shortage or fraudulent activity and proactively addressing barriers to outsourcing facility production of drugs to prevent shortages.
Prepares for, leads, and summarizes expert panel meetings related to FDA grant project.
Leads expert panel development of prioritized essential medicines list vulnerable to shortage or supply disruption.
Leads expert panel identification of prioritized essential medicines ideal for outsourcing facility formulation development.
Leads process of designing and implementing request‑for‑proposal (RFP) process related to outsourcing facility formulation agreements.
Leads expert panel review of RFPs received and selection of candidates for formulation agreements.
Conducts site visits to outsourcing facilities as related to grant project.
Works with Grants Manager and PI to complete all grant reporting requirements, including financial reports, annual or periodic status reports, and audits.
Works with PI to prepare and submit manuscripts, abstracts, and / or conference presentations.
Supports activities related to identifying and applying for new, related funding opportunities.
Sets policies and procedures to achieve desired outcomes/results for their assigned work area(s).
Collaborates with external stakeholders related to drug supply chains, medication shortages, compounding, and outsourcing facilities.
Provides guidance to ASHP members, staff and external stakeholder organizations regarding evidence‑based pharmacy practices, including pharmacy operations and pharmacy management.
Reviews, analyzes and advises staff, members and external stakeholder organizations on the implications of proposed guidelines, standards, quality measures and other initiatives by various organizations that impact pharmacy operations, pharmaceutical supply chains, quality and patient safety.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to ASHP
Requires a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or minimum of a degree and extensive clinical or operational experience required.
Completion of an ASHP‑accredited post‑graduate year of residency, or equivalent experience preferred.
Five years or more of prior related work experience and is recognized as a subject matter expert in their field/discipline preferred.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills required; previous publishing and presenting experience preferred.
Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Consulting patients, providing information and answering questions regarding their drug regimen, which includes advising patients of potential drug-related or health-related conditions which may develop from the use of the medication for which the patient should seek additional medical care as appropriate.
Obtaining information from patients regarding the use of any non-VA provided medications or herbal products and documenting this information into CPRS and verifying any non-VA provided entries that are duplicating any VA provided medication.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Clearway Health is looking for a Clinical Pharmacist to support the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Specialty Pharmacy space, providing expert patient-centered pharmaceutical care to pediatric patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions. This role will support the safe, effective, and timely use of highrisk and high-cost specialty medications, including chemotherapy, immunotherapies, biologics, oral Oncolytics, and supportive care agents. The pharmacist collaborates closely with pediatric hematologists/oncologists and the multidisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care across inpatient, outpatient, and specialty pharmacy settings.
This position plays a critical role in medication safety, therapy optimization, patient and caregiver education, medication access, adherence monitoring, accreditation, and specialty pharmacy clinical program growth.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Provide comprehensive medication therapy management for pediatric hematology and oncology patients.
Review, verify, and monitor hem/onc pharmacotherapy for appropriateness, dosing accuracy, efficacy, and safety, including weight and body surface area-based dosing.
Monitor for adverse effects, toxicities, drug- drug interactions, and therapy complications.
Support oral oncolytic management, adherence monitoring, and toxicity assessment.
Perform medication assessments and reassessments prior to medication dispense.
Collaborate with pediatric hematologists, oncologists, advanced practice providers, nurses and other members of the care team.
Assist pharmacy liaison with PA submission, appeal letters, insurance troubleshooting, etc.
Participate in clinics, case conferences, tumor boards, and multidisciplinary rounds as appropriate.
Provide evidence-based pharmacotherapy recommendations aligned with pediatric oncology protocols and guidelines.
Support specialty pharmacy dispensing workflows for hem/onc therapies, including limited distribution drugs and REMS programs.
Facilitate medication access by assisting with prior authorizations, appeals, manufacturer programs, and patient assistance resources.
Coordinate with payers, manufacturers, and specialty distributors to prevent delays in therapy initiation or continuation.
EDUCATION:
A PharmD or bachelor's degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy is required.
Completion of PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency or 3+ years working as a clinical pharmacist in direct patient care is required.
Completion of a PGY-2 in oncology/hematology, transplant, or pediatrics is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
An active Pharmacist licensure (in good standing) to practice pharmacy in DC or MD with the eligibility to be licensed in both within 90 days of hire
Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP), preferred

Shall provide outpatient window order processing/counseling services that include (but not limited to)
Positively identifying the patient presenting to the pharmacy for prescription processing according to VAMHCS policy. The pharmacist is to have the patient state their full name and last four numbers of their Social Security Number AND their date of birth.
Reviewing the patient's narrative field to verify approval for non-formulary medications and/or any other restrictions.
Ensuring allergy assessment information is available prior to finishing any medication orders.
Ensuring that the Patient Rx Status accurately corresponds to their eligibility.
Reviewing, interpreting, and verifying all outpatient medications orders.
Reviewing patient's out-patient medication profile to assure that the medications are prescribed appropriately, in the correct dosage, and free of potential drug interactions or incompatibilities which could alter the desired or expected therapeutic response.
Ensuing that there are no significant or critical interactions (without intervention documentation) with other drugs that the patient is currently taking, that there is not duplicative therapy, and the patient has no known allergy to the medications prescribed.
Consulting patients, providing information and answering questions regarding their drug regimen, which includes advising patients of potential drug-related or health-related conditions which may develop from the use of the medication for which the patient should seek additional medical care as appropriate.
Obtaining information from patients regarding the use of any non-VA provided medications or herbal products and documenting this information into CPRS and verifying any non-VA provided entries that are duplicating any VA provided medication.
