Services Task and Job Requirements In order to perform the duties set forth for this project, the Registered Pharmacist must meet both the minimum education and experience requirements set forth: Qualifications Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Licensure: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in the State of Texas or in possession of an active license from another state that enjoys reciprocity with the state of Texas. The candidate must have passed the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) and the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE). Experience: Demonstrable proficiency in the compounding of prescriptions, drugs, chemicals, and pharmaceutical supplies required in the operation of a pharmacy; Dispense medications prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners and providing information to health practitioners and patients about proper usage of medications and side effects; Conduct drug utilization reviews, counsel patients on the proper use of medication while evaluating medication use patterns and outcomes for patients leveraging adherence best practices; Apply knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the legal operation of a pharmacy to comply with laws, regulations, and policies governing pharmacy operations; Provide oversight of CMOP facility by developing and implementing operational procedures, maintain accurate records and document actions taken while safeguarding the confidentiality of medical records; Apply inventory control expertise in establishing medication-handling procedures for the storage and preservation of medications; Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with fellow medical professionals and patients; develop harmonious professional relationships with clinic staff; and Supervise Pharmacy Technicians in the performance of work-related to sterile products, prescription filling, and ward/clinic supply.
