The Pharmacy Manager role includes:
Assist in the development and communication of goals for pharmacy and individual team members that support the organization's mission and performance goals; ensure facility is meeting the outlined goals and objectives;
Administer the pharmacy budget; Manage profit and loss statements; monitor current revenues and expenses and analyze and report on variances from plan; Provide corporate accounting with weekly statistics reports and monthly statements, approve accounts payables and assist accounts receivable in collections;
Oversee team member safety, radiation safety and quality programs to ensure pharmacy facility remains in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, laws and practice standards, as well as internal Jubliant Radiopharmacies safety policies and procedures; conduct pharmacy safety audits as required; Oversee team member training to assure compliance with all safety standards; may serve as Radiation Safety Officer or may delegate this responsibility to appropriately trained individual eligible to be named as RSO on pharmacy license;
Compound and dispense radiopharmaceuticals; prepare doses for transit, including packing, wrapping, checking for contamination, completing necessary documentation, and delivering doses if necessary; calibrate instruments daily; oversee and contribute to the overall organization and cleanliness of the pharmacy;
Remain prepared to perform emergency dispensing and/or radiation safety procedures; ensure the availability of an authorized user of radioactive materials in the event of emergency;
Collaborate with Business Unit Director to maintain customer relationships and develop service contracts; provide recommendations for pricing and terms; respond to customer inquiries and complaints, take appropriate steps to ensure customer satisfaction;
Negotiate with vendors for services and equipment to reduce costs and ensure product reliability; monitor and supervise facility maintenance and alteration under guidance;
Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science degree in pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy required;
“Authorized User” of radioactive materials on the pharmacy's radioactive materials license required;
Two (2) plus years' experience in management of operations and team;
Must be able to successfully pass company's background check and pre-employment drug test;
Ability to operate a vehicle and maintain a valid driver's license also required;
Demonstrated leadership skills in motivating team members and meeting performance goals, preferably in a medical environment;
Radiation Safety Officer experience preferred

The Medication Safety Pharmacy develops, implements, and evaluates the Medication Safety Program. This involves system and process evaluation, formulation of recommendations, coordination of intervention strategies, and monitoring of reports related to medication safety.
This role provides oversight and direction for the daily operations of the Drug Diversion Program in collaboration with the Director of Pharmacy. Medication Safety is accountable for drug diversion education, prevention and monitoring.
The Medication Safety Pharmacist develops the Opioid Stewardship program in collaboration with medical staff leadership to identify areas of opportunity, provide education and resources to the clinical staff.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the daily operations of the Medication Safety, Opioid Stewardship, and Drug Diversion Program including quality improvement projects and metric development.
Review all medication related Safety Net reports and prioritize medication safety program initiatives and activities.
Direct the development of safe medication practices to prevent errors through oversight and guidance on all medication safety related concerns. Work proactively with, nursing staff, medical staff, pharmacy staff and other departments, as appropriate to resolve medication safety related concerns.
Research medication safety, opioid stewardship and drug diversion prevention best practices, national and regional benchmarks, and industry standards.
Lead regulatory compliance and quality improvement efforts.
Act as consultant to clinical leaders and teams in identifying risk reduction and improvement opportunities. Works collaboratively to develop improvement projects.
Establish and maintain an effective drug diversion education program for all staff and providers as appropriate for their work responsibilities.
Develop policies and procedures SOPs, and patient education material.
Participate in pharmacy and hospital committees as required.

Qualifications
Required:
Doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited School of Pharmacy
5+ years of experience as a pharmacist in an ambulatory or hospital setting
Knowledge of general principles of medication use safety, culture of safety, medication error reporting systems, systems thinking, and human factors
High level of analytical ability to identify safety and regulatory deficiencies and to suggest and help to implement appropriate corrective actions.
Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Apparent Cause Analysis (ACA) processes and methodologies
Proficient user of Microsoft Office products (Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel)

* Serve as a therapeutic consultant to physicians on evaluation and implementation of optimal medication plans for inpatients and outpatients.
