Experience/Skills:Required: Completed an ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency plus one year of specialty practice OR completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency plus 3 years of specialty practice OR completed 5 years of practice in a specialty area. Minimum Requirements: 1. Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree. 2. 3-5 years' experience. 3. Massachusetts License 4. Training or equivalent experience in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) 5. Knowledge of FDA, BO,P and all applicable regulations 6. Knowledge of retail pharmacy compliance 7. Familiarity with adherence packaging and home delivery. 8. Strong analytical and organizational skills. 9. Skilled in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgement, discretion, and decision making to achieve objectives. 10. Knowledge of the federal 340B program preferred. Principal Responsibilities and Duties: 1. The supervisor's duties include ensuring all staff members are performing their jobs effectively and in accordance with company policies and procedures, communicating with health center physicians to determine the type of medications and dosage for a patient, taking inventory of pharmaceutical drugs to reorder them based on local demand, and interacting with pharmacy patients/customers to give them their prescriptions and answer medication questions. 2. The Pharmacy supervisor will control medications by monitoring drug therapies and advising interventions. 3. Complies with state and federal drug laws. 4. Maintaining separate 340B drug inventory as appropriate. 5. Maintain current registration. 6. Facilitate new business and oversee timely and accurate delivery of services to clients. 7. Work collaboratively with administration and clinical care teams to provide quality care. 8. Ensure that billing documents and inventory control records are completed and accurate. 9. Participate in continuing quality improvement activities. 10. Ensure strict compliance with all standardized professional policies and procedures. 11. Ensure adherence to State and Federal laws and regulations. 12. Maintains strict control over the distribution and usage of government-controlled products such as narcotics and barbiturates. 13. Ensure appropriate record keeping for each prescription filled for pharmacy files, for control files on narcotics, poisons, habit-forming drugs, or for billing records. 14. Ensure inventory control of pharmacy stock to an acceptable turnover to minimize the amount of expired medications. 15. Ensure semiannual physical inventory processes are completed. 16. Oversees the implementation and documentation of drug recalls through established policy and procedures, which are followed in a timely manner, including documentation, required detailing the disposition of such drugs. 17. Assists with the development, use, analysis, and feedback of clinical performance measurement indicators, processes and audits. 18. Develops, implements, monitors and participates in QA activities within the department. 19. Participates in the selection and hiring of pharmacy staff, including technicians. 20. Responsible and accountable for operational budgets, ensuring that the operation of the department is within budget guidelines and providing an explanation of significant variances. 21. Participates in annual pharmacy budget projections. 22. Works in collaboration with pharmacy staff to increase their clinical effectiveness and counseling skills. 23. Participates in special projects and other duties as assigned. Working Conditions: 1. This position may require the ability to work long and arduous hours. 2.
