Our four pharmacies fill approximately 5,000 prescriptions monthly while focusing on a personalized, one-on-one interaction with each patient. We primarily fill prescriptions for employees, patients discharging from the hospital, hospice patients, oncology patients, or patients seen by the Medical Group. The pharmacies' integration with the rest of the healthcare system helps to improve our patient experience and allows our staff to provide more informed, safe care.
What You Will Do:
Technicians at the Tier 1 level perform basic pharmaceutical duties and work under the direct supervision of PHC Registered Pharmacists. A tier 1 technician needs to be proficient in basic mathematical and pharmaceutical calculations as well as computer and telephone skills. They will provide accurate, independent work and have the ability to interact well with other healthcare personnel as part of the PHC team. All tier 1 technicians will demonstrate competence in ordering and control of stock, selection of drug product, nonsterile drug preparation, controlled substance handling and pharmacy automated systems. Retail Tier 1 technicians will show proficiency in applicable insurance adjudication, prescription entry, cash handling and inventory control.
