Cedar Recovery is a CARF accredited outpatient addiction treatment company based in Mount Juliet, TN. The company owns and operates fourteen (14) office-based opioid treatment (OBOT) facilities, opioid treatment programs (OTP), and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) in Tennessee & Virginia. Cedar's approach to treatment combines the utilization of medications (Methadone, Buprenorphine, and Naltrexone) coupled with counseling, peer recovery support, and case management to deliver an integrated model of care in addressing the opioid crisis. Position Summary: Cedar Recovery is seeking to contract a pharmacist on a PRN or part-time basis for its Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) in Bristol, VA. The pharmacist is a key leadership role within the facility. The candidate must possess a valid and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Pharmacist will ensure compliance with DEA and state rules regarding the ordering, storage, logging, and administration of medications, including take-home doses. The pharmacist is expected to collaborate with medical staff to ensure consistency between the ordering and dispensing of medications. This position reports directly to Cedar's Deputy Chief Medical Officer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Monitoring the preparation and dispensing of medications for accuracy, including correct dosing and formulation. • Preparing or assisting in the preparation of take-home doses of medications (OTP). • Develop Cedar's controlled substance logging system of controlled and non-controlled substances. • Provide education to patients through counseling activities, including dosing, side-effects, risks, benefits, and interactions. • Properly report compliance violations, medication discrepancies, patient's adverse reaction, and/or diversion concerns. • Ensure compliance with all DEA, State, Federal, and SAMHSA rules for the ordering, dispensing, disposing, and storage of controlled substances. • Perform audits of inventory ensuring all medications are accounted for. • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. • Monitor the state's controlled substance monitoring database and central registry • Provide input on operational and strategic decisions related to Cedar's program. • Demonstrate Cedar's core values and culture. • Implement Cedar's strategic initiatives, programs, and directives in the facility. • When requested, attend conferences, meetings, and other events. Additional Expectations: • Be available to all personnel supervised by the pharmacist to provide guidance or direction. • Maintain knowledge of up-to-date best practices related to addiction and mental health treatment. • Utilize Cedar's data and KPI to dashboard to drive improvement and efficiency. • Identify process improvements and recommendations within the medical operations and report such findings to the Deputy Chief Medical Officer. • Remaining flexible to change in an ever-evolving field of medicine. • Attend community events and assist Cedar in becoming an active community partner. Required Credentials: • Possess an unrestricted and unencumbered license to practice as a Pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Cedar Recovery will consider pharmacists who have an encumbered license due to a previous substance use disorder and are actively involved in a state monitoring program. • Graduate of a nationally accredited pharmacy school. • Experience in providing pharmacy services in an OTP setting (preferred)

JOB SUMMARY: Pharmacists dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to our customers, educate customers on health promotion, disease prevention, and the proper use of medicines, and sell non-prescription medicines as well as related goods in our Pharmacies. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Provide and promote efficient and courteous patient counseling service to customers at all times. * Follow Food City operating policies and procedures, including compliance with governmental laws. * Maximize sales and profits by promoting customer satisfaction and achieving acceptable levels of gross margin. * Direct the duties of department associates during the time the Pharmacy Manager is off. * Provide pharmacy associates with training and development in required skills and areas of job responsibilities. * Ensure associates motivation and enthusiasm is at positive level. * Set an example of personal integrity, appearance and ethical business practices which provide a standard of conduct for all departmental associates. * Fill prescriptions and evaluate prescriptions for completeness, accuracy, and legality. * Check prescriptions for proper contents and labeling. * Maintain adequate patient information to ensure safety and appropriateness of prescriptions. * Ensure prescription pricing follows established guidelines and procedures. * Ensure inventory is maintained at appropriate levels; manage the merchandise ordering process and product selection in the pharmacy to maintain optimal Rx turns. * Maintain a high level of inventory quality keeping a close inspection of returns and out-of-date product. * Ensure compliance with corporate security and loss prevention policies and procedures. * Ensure the accuracy and completion of all required paperwork and reports. * Make, mix and compound prescriptions for the customer and give over-the-counter recommendations. * Enforce and maintain all safety policies and procedures while being aware of possible safety hazards for associates and customers and eliminate potential hazards. * Maintain a neat and clean work area and direct normal housekeeping duties. * Operate cash register as necessary during pharmacy technician's breaks and lunches as necessary. * Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Manager oversees the FQHC operations and management for a particular pharmacy for which they are assigned. Job Description Cedar Recovery is a CARF accredited outpatient addiction treatment company based in Mount Juliet, TN. The company owns and operates fourteen (14) office-based opioid treatment (OBOT) facilities, opioid treatment programs (OTP), and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) in Tennessee & Virginia. Cedar's approach to treatment combines the utilization of medications (Methadone, Buprenorphine, and Naltrexone) coupled with counseling, peer recovery support, and case management to deliver an integrated model of care in addressing the opioid crisis. Position Summary: Cedar Recovery is seeking to contract a pharmacist on a PRN or part-time basis for its Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) in Bristol, VA. The pharmacist is a key leadership role within the facility. The candidate must possess a valid and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Pharmacist will ensure compliance with DEA and state rules regarding the ordering, storage, logging, and administration of medications, including take-home doses. The pharmacist is expected to collaborate with medical staff to ensure consistency between the ordering and dispensing of medications. This position reports directly to Cedar's Deputy Chief Medical Officer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Monitoring the preparation and dispensing of medications for accuracy, including correct dosing and formulation. • Preparing or assisting in the preparation of take-home doses of medications (OTP). • Develop Cedar's controlled substance logging system of controlled and non-controlled substances. • Provide education to patients through counseling activities, including dosing, side-effects, risks, benefits, and interactions. • Properly report compliance violations, medication discrepancies, patient's adverse reaction, and/or diversion concerns. • Ensure compliance with all DEA, State, Federal, and SAMHSA rules for the ordering, dispensing, disposing, and storage of controlled substances. • Perform audits of inventory ensuring all medications are accounted for. • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. • Monitor the state's controlled substance monitoring database and central registry • Provide input on operational and strategic decisions related to Cedar's program. • Demonstrate Cedar's core values and culture. • Implement Cedar's strategic initiatives, programs, and directives in the facility. • When requested, attend conferences, meetings, and other events. Additional Expectations: • Be available to all personnel supervised by the pharmacist to provide guidance or direction. • Maintain knowledge of up-to-date best practices related to addiction and mental health treatment. • Utilize Cedar's data and KPI to dashboard to drive improvement and efficiency. • Identify process improvements and recommendations within the medical operations and report such findings to the Deputy Chief Medical Officer. • Remaining flexible to change in an ever-evolving field of medicine. • Attend community events and assist Cedar in becoming an active community partner.
