The Medication Safety Pharmacy develops, implements, and evaluates the Medication Safety Program. Medication Safety is accountable for drug diversion education, prevention and monitoring. The Medication Safety Pharmacist develops the Opioid Stewardship program in collaboration with medical staff leadership to identify areas of opportunity, provide education and resources to the clinical staff. Responsibilities Responsible for the daily operations of the Medication Safety, Opioid Stewardship, and Drug Diversion Program including quality improvement projects and metric development. Review all medication related Safety Net reports and prioritize medication safety program initiatives and activities. Direct the development of safe medication practices to prevent errors through oversight and guidance on all medication safety related concerns.
