Short Description *** $20,000 Sign On Bonus *** The Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist performs a variety of clinical, logistical, and operational functions to streamline care for oncology patients at the MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. The functions include but are not limited to: * Collaboration with interdisciplinary care teams to propose best treatment practices in accordance with the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines and primary literature * Provides clinical pharmacy services for oncology patients, including patient counseling, selection of appropriate therapies, monitoring parameters and frequency of monitoring, management of adverse effects, and identification/ management of drug-drug interactions * Deliver new oncology therapy in-services to the oncology healthcare team * Lead hematology/oncology pharmacology and therapeutics lectures for hematology/oncology fellow physicians * Navigate oncology drug shortages, including recommendation of alternative therapies when appropriate * Precept pharmacy residents and students on ambulatory oncology elective rotation * Build treatment plans for chemotherapy regimens into EPIC and partake in necessary workflows to add new oncolytic agents to hospital formulary * Actively participate in oncology pharmacy & therapeutics (P&T) subcommittee and hospital P&T committee meetings * Assist with medication acquisition for oral and injectable oncolytic therapies, including prior authorizations, appeal letters, and peer-to-peer reviews * Identify and complete patient care quality improvement projects * Assist with policy development with regards to oncology patient care #LI-CU1 Experience Required * 3-5 years Oncology preferred. Currently, DeliverCareRx is searching for full-time & part-time pharmacists to work in our West Deptford, New Jersey pharmacy. This role is responsible for acquiring and dispensing prescriptions for hospice patients while ensuring medication therapy is appropriate for the patient.

Collaborate with co-workers and other healthcare professionals to acquire and review prescriptions to determine appropriate medication therapy
Review and verify physician medication orders on a daily basis
Oversee medications prepared by pharmacy technicians
Provide Drug Utilization Review
Focus on quality assurance to correctly interpret physician orders and to prevent medication errors
Provide high quality customer service to patients and caregivers
Counsel patients and caregivers on medication therapy as needed
Utilize sound judgment to make appropriate decisions in the best interest of patients and the company
Provide rotating on call services to patients on an emergency basis
Assist with inventory functions including, but not limited to physical inventory, cycle counting, medication adjustments

Schedule: PRN working as needed and covering PTO
Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of manager, this position is responsible for dispensing and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medications to all customers.
Maintains open communication and is available to customers and practitioner sites for consultation
Participates in supervision of technical staff
Ensure pharmacy is compliant with best practices for 340B contract pharmacies
Provide professional consultation to both patients and prescribers of partner health facility
Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' work flow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferred
Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania required
Immunization Certification or willing to become a certified immunizer within 90 days of hire preferred
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Interpersonal relations and customer service skills
340B experience preferred
Vendor Credentialing may be required
Anticipated hourly range: $56.10 per hour - $80.30 per hour

• Process requests for insurance coverage rejects at dispensing pharmacy and determine cause of appeal based on clinical guidelines and insurance coverage
• Consult with physicians/providers with questions and interpretations of clinical guideline criteria and coverage determinations
• Participate in quality improvement process enhancement projects
Qualifications
• Clear and active Pharmacist license in PA
• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
• 1-3 years experience
• Strong customer service, computer and communication skills
