Principal Antineoplastic Stewardship Duties and Responsibilities

a. Overseeing daily/weekly/monthly prospective audit of antineoplastics

c. Working with the Oncology/Hematology service to evaluate appropriate use of restricted antineoplastic
d. Developing guidelines, policies, and other monitoring and intervention strategies for antineoplastic therapies
e. Compiling data and metrics on antineoplastic use
f. Working with the Oncology/Antineoplastic Subcommittee to maintain and update the network/institutional guidelines,
policies, and protocols
g. Reporting data and findings to the Oncology/Antineoplastic subcommittee and other stakeholders.
h. Coordinating, facilitating, and promoting education, training, competency assessment and performance improvement of
pharmacists, pharmacy residents and other healthcare professionals in the appropriate use of antineoplastics
4. Serves as pharmacy consultant for providers, nurses, and other pharmacists on antineoplastic therapy.
5. Represents Pharmacy Services on various committees, staff meetings, and professional meetings

Job Summary
The Radiopharmacist is a senior member of the professional staff working in the BWH - BICOR facility. The purpose of BICOR is to fulfill the need for radiotracers for researchers and clinicians. Under the supervision of BICOR administration and in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures the Radiopharmacist has several roles ranging from overseeing general lab maintenance and inventory control to the support of daily compounding and manufacturing.
The radiopharmacist works in conjunction with BICOR administration to define daily responsibilities within the facility while operating in accordance with all applicable institutional, state, and federal regulations governing the dispensing or distribution of radioactive materials.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for operating the Radiopharmacy independently and staffing BICOR manufacturing units during operating hours as needed. Shifts and responsibilities are subject to change according to clinical, research, and staffing needs
* Oversees and performs SPECT radiopharmaceutical preparation, quality control, and dispensing
* Performs PET compounding, manufacturing, quality control, and distribution
* Compares handwritten results documented on manufacturing and compounding batch records with product specifications. Releases product when handwritten results are within specifications
* Oversees inventory management systems for SPECT radiopharmaceuticals and other materials necessary to meet dispensing needs
* Completes and/or oversees maintenance and system suitability for equipment used daily and verifies or records results
* Verifies all cleanroom parameters required for daily operation
* Responsible for cleanliness of facility in accordance with the documented cleaning schedules
* Notifies the Engineering Department of any Out of Specification results within cleanrooms and associated equipment
* Performs or ensures that radiation wipes and surveys onshipping containers, supplies, incoming packages, and workspaces are completed
* Works with the Quality Systems Administration team to monitor overall integrity of the cGMP manufacturing process
* Assists in the preparation of documentation for ANDA, IND and RDRC regulatory reviews
* Provides training and direction to staff as needed
* Identifies and reports to management any quality or compliance concerns and takes immediate corrective action as required
* Assists with the instruction of students (pharmacy and nuclear medicine technologists) and medical residents on practical aspects of radiopharmaceutical production, quality control and radiation safety
* Provides information on radioactive pharmaceuticals to outside inquiries including pharmacies, physicians and researchers
Qualifications
* Must be a graduate of an AACP accredited pharmacy program and be Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy licensed or Board eligible
* Must have completed a program in nuclear pharmacy including course work in radiation safety, radiopharmacy techniques, health physics and instrumentation or equivalent experience
* Must have experience in computer data entry, ordering, and compiling data
* Must be thoroughly familiar with the regulations of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Department of Transportation, Food and Drug Administration, Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy Regulations, EPA, and OSHA

Job Summary
The Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking highly motivated pharmacists to join our expanding team of Primary Care Pharmacists. Key responsibilities for the clinician include conducting comprehensive patient visits, creating and implementing patient centered, guideline directed disease state management strategies, and providing ongoing monitoring. Recognized as an integral member of the team, pharmacists will collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, population health coordinators, medication access coordinators, and community health workers to support holistic, patient-centered care and improve health outcomes. Qualifications
Clinical Pharmacists assume responsibility and accountability for the provision of safe, effective, and prompt medication therapy. Clinical Pharmacists proficiently provide direct patient-centered care and integrated pharmacy operational services with physicians, nurses, and other hospital personnel to deliver optimal medication therapy to patients with a broad range of disease states. These clinicians are aligned with target interdisciplinary programs and specialty services to deliver medication therapy management and to ensure pharmaceutical care programs are appropriately integrated throughout the institution. Pharmaceutical care services include, but are not limited to, assessing patient needs, incorporating age and disease specific characteristics into drug therapy and patient education, adjusting care according to patient response, and providing clinical interventions to detect, mitigate, and prevent medication adverse events. Clinical Pharmacists serve as departmental resources and liaisons to other departments, hospital personnel, or external groups.
