CRMHC is looking for a temporary placement pharmacist for a period of approximately three and a half months. The position will report to the CRMHC full-time Pharmacist and the CRMHC Medical Director. The position is Monday - Friday: 1st shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. On-call is not a component of the position. The temporary placement pharmacist will assist and be directly supervised by the CRMHC Pharmacist. The position involves providing pharmacy services to a proportion of the CRMHC outpatient clients and all the clients on the sixteen-bed inpatient psychiatric unit. The successful candidate will have experience working with behavioral health clients, able to communicate effectively, work well with pharmacy, nursing, and medical staff, and have familiarity with word processing and pharmacy software systems (experience with a Pyxis system is preferred). The candidate will need to have successfully graduated from a US accredited pharmacy program. Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist issued by the Connecticut State Department of Consumer Protection is required. Monitors warfarin on each assigned patient and provides education when required. Provides evidences based drug information and teaching to our patients and customers.
