APPE Summary:
Pharmacists participate in pharmacy-run clinics: Anticoagulation, Hepatitis C, and Spirometry. Each year 5-10 senior pharmacy student's complete clerkship rotations at our site. Drug information resources and computer support are readily available. Rotation experiences will vary to student preferences. Pharmacy student experiences may include family medicine, diabetes, psychiatry, public health nursing, microbiology lab, and administration. APPE Summary:
Pharmacists participate in pharmacy-run clinics: Anticoagulation, Hepatitis C, and Spirometry. Each year 5-10 senior pharmacy student's complete clerkship rotations at our site. Drug information resources and computer support are readily available. Rotation experiences will vary to student preferences. Pharmacy student experiences may include family medicine, diabetes, psychiatry, public health nursing, microbiology lab, and administration. Rapid City (pop. 70,000) is located in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, close to numerous recreational opportunities and vacation destinations including Mount Rushmore, Badlands, Custer State Park.
Essential Functions:
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Job Description
* Manage installation of new remote dispensing machines at long term care facilities, including participate in preliminary testing toensure the machines function properly prior to implementation.
* Service equipment when it stops functioning properly, including troubleshooting, the determination of the cause of failure, and therepair, replacement parts of remote dispensing machines, desktop computers, printers and peripherals.
* Perform first-call troubleshooting protocols for remote dispensing machines. Timely escalation to Tier II as outlined in servicerecovery guidelines.
* Accurately document all service events as required.
* Communicate with external service experts on an as-needed basis to troubleshoot difficult service issues.
