Pharmacists are responsible and accountable for the provision of safe, effective, and prompt medication therapy. Through various assignments within the pharmacy department, they provide support of the medication-use systems as well as deliver optimal medication therapy to pediatric patients with medical complexities and a broad range of disease states. Job Description As an integral member of the pharmacy team, the pharmacy student intern, under supervision and work direction of the pharmacist helps prepare and distribute medications to patients within the hospital. Student interns are responsible for filling patients' orders, medication stock, ancillary department supplies, and unit dose medication bins for final verification by the pharmacist.
