As a Specialty Pharmacy Account Liaison on our Patient Services team, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our patients each day as they look to you as part of their dedicated support team for helping them navigate the tricky process to getting access to their complex medication. You will serve as a central point of contact for specialty pharmacy taking ownership of all activities and ensuring timely and accurate transfer of information with each network pharmacy and perform follow ups for status of referrals. Bringing escalated issues to resolution, being deliberate with weekly communications to each stakeholder and identifying opportunities for improvement within processes are all key deliverables in this role to ensuring patient success. This role requires a high level of ownership, attention to detail and patient focus and will put your problem-solving skills to the test! You'll compassionately deliver an exceptional experience to many patients per day always remembering that every prescription or document belongs to a real person who is looking for thorough and efficient management of their records. You'll adjust your approach to their needs by communicating clearly, focusing on the accuracy of the details of their medical records and your mastery of the program requirements, and ensuring their prescriptions or cases are handled timely. A typical day in the life of a Specialty Pharmacy Account Liaison will include the following: The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Relationship Management
Builds trusted relationships with specialty pharmacies, patients, prescribers, client stakeholders through proactive communication, timely and accurate execution of deliverables and demonstrated relentless passion for helping patients
Manages all relationships in a manner that adheres to healthcare laws and regulations
Communications
Performs post Benefits Investigation calls to payors, patients or physicians verifying or explaining coverage options
Manages all client inquiries unable to be determined by client through reporting
Manages HCP inquiries, as applicable, pursuant to business rules
Inbound Call Management
Manages direct inbound calls from specialty pharmacy contacts
Triage patients to internal or external resources as appropriate
Specialty Pharmacy Communication
Leverages electronic tools to identify benefits and payer coverage; completes manual benefit investigation as needed
Identifies and communicates patient's plan benefit coverage including the need for prior authorization, appeal, tier exception, and/or formulary exclusions
Uses electronic resources to obtain benefit coverage outcome and if needed, outbound call to payers and specialty pharmacies to follow up on proper submission and/or outcome
Coordinates nurse teach with field-based nurse educators, as applicable to program
Supports adherence services through coordination of nurse follow up, as applicable to program
Identifies peer support resources for patients
Tracks and follows up on shipment of product through patient assistance program and/or bridge program from the PharmaCord pharmacy
Proactively communicates needs for reverification of prior authorization or re-enrollment for patient assistance program
Reports adverse events, Product complaints, special situation reports and/or medical inquiries received in accordance with SOPs and the Business Rules
Documents all activities within the PharmaCord CORscend system in accordance with business requirements

Requirements: The ideal team member should possess the following:
Ideally the Account Liaison will have experience working with specialty pharmacies
Bachelor's degree in arts and sciences, social work, public health administration or a related field strongly preferred; completion of a high school diploma or GED is required
3 years' customer service, payer benefits (reimbursement, prior authorization, etc.), healthcare industry experience is preferred
Ability to work any 8.5-hour shift between 8 am to 8 pm, Monday to Friday required - it is required in this position that the Account Liaison can work any shift as needed
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish or Chinese/Mandarin is a plus
We are located in Jeffersonville, IN. You must be willing to work in this location; PharmaCord does reimburse for tolls if applicable, at the frequent user rate. This rate is applied after 40 trips per month (valued at $678.60 per year)
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to type 35 WPM with 97% accuracy.
Although very minimal, flexibility to travel as needed is preferred.
This position requires ability to work a standard 8.5-hour standard shifts between our business operating hours of 8am - 11pm Monday through Friday. A shift will be assigned and may change depending on business need.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
Due to investment in program specific training, candidates are expected to maintain role for a minimum of 6 months, or within a client-facing role, prior to being considered eligible for lateral or promotion level move. POSITION SUMMARY
The Pharmacist has management oversight for the medication management activities. The Pharmacist is responsible for providing comprehensive and accurate medication screening and dispensing services. Intake - Conducting the patient intake process by receiving referrals, screening patient demographic information, conducting benefits investigation, determining payor coverage for specialty drugs, and exploring opportunities for patient financial assistance for qualified candidates.
Clinical Management - managing patient care by coordinating with an integrated team of health care providers, assessing clinical data, and optimizing therapy to ensure appropriateness and safety of medication use through evidence‐based medicine, and to promote and monitor adherence and persistency.
Fulfillment - Coordinating the processing, distribution, and delivery of referrals while maintaining product integrity, managing inventory of specialty medications, following up with patients to ensure that they receive medications, and billing for services rendered.
Outcomes - Defining, collecting, integrating, analyzing, and reporting data to promote and facilitate optimal treatment outcomes and evaluate the pharmacoeconomic impact of service offerings.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute day-to-day operations in the pharmacy as they pertain to workflow, production quotas and deadlines and accuracy of prescription processing.
Ensure that the pharmacy is in compliance with all accreditation standards and local, state and federal rules and regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy. Assist in ensuring that the pharmacy is in compliance with all DEA policies and operating procedures as set forth by KnippeRx or the regulatory agency, whichever is stricter.

Screen all new medication orders for appropriate dose, drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications prior to dispensing medication.
Provide verbal or written consultation and information on prescription and non-prescription medication for storage, side effects and drug interaction to healthcare professionals and patients.
Obtain verbal and/or written prescription orders from prescribers and/or designee as allowed by law.
Assist and maintain programs to manage pharmacy inventory and medical equipment provided to patients, to include but not limited to monitoring inventory levels, ordering, receiving and shipping.
Maintain clinical knowledge and skill level sufficient to render assistance to prescribers with regard to medication regimens and therapeutic options to ensure optimal medication therapy.
Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage or under-usage patterns, provide adherence counseling when necessary.
Identify barriers to therapy and collaborating between customers and healthcare providers to achieve optimal outcome.
Assist with patient management responsibilities such as start of care with nurse/physician, patient care plan development and revision, and multidisciplinary patient care conferences.
Provide fulfillment process support by performing QA review as needed.
Oversee customer billing for services rendered and financial information requirements.

Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Pharm D or Bachelor of Science Degree in pharmacy
Two (2) years of Pharmacist experience
Current unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in good standing by the Indiana Board of Pharmacy

As a Specialty Pharmacy Account Liaison on our Patient Services team, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our patients each day as they look to you as part of their dedicated support team for helping them navigate the tricky process to getting access to their complex medication. You will serve as a central point of contact for specialty pharmacy taking ownership of all activities and ensuring timely and accurate transfer of information with each network pharmacy and perform follow ups for status of referrals. Bringing escalated issues to resolution, being deliberate with weekly communications to each stakeholder and identifying opportunities for improvement within processes are all key deliverables in this role to ensuring patient success. This role requires a high level of ownership, attention to detail and patient focus and will put your problem-solving skills to the test!

A typical day in the life of a Specialty Pharmacy Account Liaison will include the following:

* Relationship Management
* Builds trusted relationships with specialty pharmacies, patients, prescribers, client stakeholders through proactive communication, timely and accurate execution of deliverables and demonstrated relentless passion for helping patients
* Manages all relationships in a manner that adheres to healthcare laws and regulations

* Performs post Benefits Investigation calls to payors, patients or physicians verifying or explaining coverage options
* Manages all client inquiries unable to be determined by client through reporting
* Manages HCP inquiries, as applicable, pursuant to business rules
* Inbound Call Management
* Manages direct inbound calls from specialty pharmacy contacts
* Triage patients to internal or external resources as appropriate
* Specialty Pharmacy Communication
* Leverages electronic tools to identify benefits and payer coverage; completes manual benefit investigation as needed
* Identifies and communicates patient's plan benefit coverage including the need for prior authorization, appeal, tier exception, and/or formulary exclusions
* Uses electronic resources to obtain benefit coverage outcome and if needed, outbound call to payers and specialty pharmacies to follow up on proper submission and/or outcome
* Coordinates nurse teach with field-based nurse educators, as applicable to program
* Supports adherence services through coordination of nurse follow up, as applicable to program
* Identifies peer support resources for patients
* Tracks and follows up on shipment of product through patient assistance program and/or bridge program from the PharmaCord pharmacy
* Proactively communicates needs for reverification of prior authorization or re-enrollment for patient assistance program
* Reports adverse events, Product complaints, special situation reports and/or medical inquiries received in accordance with SOPs and the Business Rules
* Documents all activities within the PharmaCord CORscend system in accordance with business requirements

Requirements:
The ideal team member should possess the following:
* Ideally the Account Liaison will have experience working with specialty pharmacies
* Bachelor's degree in arts and sciences, social work, public health administration or a related field strongly preferred; completion of a high school diploma or GED is required
* 3 years' customer service, payer benefits (reimbursement, prior authorization, etc.), healthcare industry experience is preferred
* Ability to work any 8.5-hour shift between 8 am to 8 pm, Monday to Friday required - it is required in this position that the Account Liaison can work any shift as needed
* Bi-lingual in English and Spanish or Chinese/Mandarin is a plus
* We are located in Jeffersonville, IN. You must be willing to work in this location; PharmaCord does reimburse for tolls if applicable, at the frequent user rate. This rate is applied after 40 trips per month (valued at $678.60 per year)
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to type 35 WPM with 97% accuracy.
* Although very minimal, flexibility to travel as needed is preferred.
* This position requires ability to work a standard 8.5-hour standard shifts between our business operating hours of 8am - 11pm Monday through Friday. A shift will be assigned and may change depending on business need.
