Job Description
The Data Entry Technician is responsible for providing excellent customer service and for the accurate and timely billing of compounded preparations based off patient specific prescriptions.

Data Entry Technician shall ensure accuracy of patient information and receive patient payment
Checking prescriptions for completeness and entering necessary information into the computer to generate a prescription label and invoices (if necessary)
Communicating with prescribers to receive refill authorization receiving patient refills by telephone, directing calls or taking and relaying messages
Technician shall work under the supervision of a pharmacist
Employee's departmental manager has the latitude to direct work in any department that hinges on company needs.
Maintaining an organized and efficient workspace
Investigating an incidence and/or variance as needed, documenting variances as needed including the resolution
Technician will be cross trained to help with large account orders
Other duties, responsibilities and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School Diploma preferred.
Must be a Stated Licensed Pharmacy Technician to perform fulfilment or compounding activities
Excellent work ethic, including a personal drive to excel independently.
Solid PC skills including Microsoft software
Certified Technician is preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds. Moving, lifting, or carrying boxes.

Infusion Pharmacy Technician Essential Functions
Models and holds others accountable to the Barnes culture and acts as a coach and mentor for others in the organization.
Assists the pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws/regulations.
Administers recurring or daily functions or processes necessary for patient care and identifies opportunities for improvement or efficiencies.
Ensures all pharmacy surfaces, laminar flow hoods and clean room are cleaned per company policy.
Maintains records on prescriptions and inventory, picks and packs medical supplies to fill patient orders and prepares labels.

The Position:
The pharmacy technician provides clinical support services and sterile compounding of infusion therapies under the direction of a pharmacist, and in compliance with state board of pharmacy's sterile compounding and pharmacy practice regulations. The pharmacy technician prepares and provides clinical support services necessary for the dispensing of injectable and oral medications used to support our core business offerings. Demonstrates understanding of USP 797 standards, USP 800 standards, and current State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations.
Maintains call and shipment schedules to ensure continuity of care for all patients.
Collects, documents, disseminates and coordinates customer communications, laboratory data and various clinical information with pharmacy, nursing and reimbursement staff.
Performs efficient data entry of pertinent patient and prescription information into company's pharmacy software system, as allowed by BOP regulations.
Performs all cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy clean room in accordance with company policy and state BOP regulations.
Participates in company's quality assurance and performance improvement program.
Remains current with the BOP continuing education requirements, and completes Soleo's annual re-credentialing process.
Performs receiving and storage of medications and supplies from vendors.
Performs the picking/packaging of supplies and medications for shipment to the customer home.
Participates in regularly scheduled inventory counts and complies with Soleo's formulary management program.
Obtains additional state technical licensure/registration as requested to support the geographic service area of the branch.
Schedule:
Must be able to work Full-time, Monday-Friday 10:30am-7pm, 40 hours per week

Certified Tech, Pharmacy Job Number: 1326192 Posting Date: Mar 5, 2025, 11:08:37 PM Description Job Summary: Under supervision licensed Pharmacist, performs general clerical and technical duties. Maintains pharmacy services in accordance with departmental policies and standards as well as state regulations. Works in concert with center administration to ensure effective delivery of pharmacy services.
Essential Responsibilities:
Performs general clerical duties including cash register operation, cash handling, member eligibility verification, bookkeeping, filing and general supply maintenance.
Under supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, performs technical duties including entering prescription and allergy data into the computer or typing prescription labels, retrieving medication from shelves, counting and packaging medication, labeling medication, retrieving refill request information from phone and automated systems.
Assists with inventory control, purchasing, pharmaceutical returns, return-to-stock, shelf cleanliness, product rotation and maintenance.
Serves members in a friendly, courteous and expedient manner which promotes member satisfaction and retention.
Works in conjunction with medical records and nursing staff to collect and disseminate prescription related information (e.g. advice slips, refill requests).
In conjunction with supervisor or under supervisors direction, orients and instructs new pharmacy personnel regarding department policies and procedures.
Participates in patient education programs as appropriate.
May have specific clinical pharmacy service responsibilities such as patient enrollment in the service, telecommunication to patients and practitioners, written patient communication, laboratory data retrieval, processing reports (e.g. missed appointments), collecting data for quality improvement projects, maintaining a filing system, and handling administrative office activities.
Attends pharmacy education or training programs as appropriate. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Experience
One (1) year of dispensing technician experience.
Education
High School Diploma.Must maintain requirements of Continuing Education. License, Certification, Registration Pharmacy Technician License (Georgia) Pharmacy Technician Certificate Additional Requirements:
Demonstrated effective communications skills and the ability to deal pleasantly and effectively with medical staff and patients.Knowledge of basic cash register operations and cash control systems.Demonstrated ability to read and interpret written prescriptions.Complete a Customer Service Assessment. Preferred Qualifications:
