Responsibilities
Coordinates and schedules the preparation of sterile mixtures and home medical equipment orders with the assistance of the Pharmacist
Completes all calculations on product preparation as necessary
Compounds sterile mixtures and non-mixtures, including, but not limited to parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, chemotherapy, hydration and narcotic analgesics, using aseptic technique where state laws permit
Ensures compounding/clean room areas and related equipment are cleaned, sanitized and maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures, and USP 797 and USP 800 standards
Documents all activities on appropriate logs
Participates in branch management, department and intra-departmental meetings and quality improvement activities
Adheres to all accreditation, OSHA, FDA, state, local and federal regulations, and USP 797 and USP 800 standards relevant to infusion pharmacy and home medical equipment
Documents all temperature logs, pressure and humidity monitors, records all sterility testing done in the clean room in compliance with company policies and procedures, and USP 797 and USP 800 standards
Documents all activities on the appropriate logs

Qualifications
Successful completion of an approved/accredited Pharmacy Technician training program; IV certification preferred
Registered Pharmacy Technician license in state of practice per state regulations
National Pharmacy Technician Certification as required by the state board of pharmacy in state of practice
1-3 years of related pharmacy experience in a home care setting, retail or pharmacy setting, preferred
At least 1 year of aseptic preparation of infusion-related pharmaceuticals in a hospital or home infusion setting preferred
General knowledge of drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and aseptic techniques
Flexible schedule with the ability to work on-call evenings and weekends on an as-scheduled basis
Effective mathematical and communication skills required
Basic pharmacy knowledge of reading and interpreting prescriptions
Ability to work independently, accurately and efficiently
Valid driver's license
Driving Position: Yes-Minimal driving for patient deliveries may be required
**To perform this role will require constant sitting and typing on a keyboard with fingers, and ocassionally standing and walking. The physical requirements will be the ability to push/pull and lift/carry 21-30 lbs**

About the Role
As a Pharmacy Technician II + Customer Support, you'll play a vital role on a mission-driven team that's rethinking how pharmacy care is delivered. Initiate and complete daily batch for high speed packaging device. Prepare and supplemental batches needed for high speed packaging device. Obtain, interpret, and package non high speed packaging device items to ensure the robot and off line inventory is appropriately stocked at all times. Follow all department policy/ procedures to ensure that all packaged doses are labeled appropriately with all required elements and checked by a pharmacist prior to adding to any active inventory.
* Maintain robot, high speed packaging device, single dose cutter, bulk packager, and overwrap packager to ensure proper working order is maintained. Follow all manufacturer recommended cleaning procedures on all packages prior to any batches being packaged. Follow all manufacturer recommended maintenance procedures for robot and all packaging equipment and devices. Promptly report any malfunctions to the vendor help desk and the NGHS Automation Coordinator. Actively participate in problem resolution and follows up when malfunctions are discovered.
* Maintain appropriate canister mix for high speed packaging device. Coordinate new canister needs or repairs with the NGHS Automation Coordinator. Assist in adding new or repaired canisters when necessary.
* Maintain packaging area in a clean, well stocked manner to ensure all packaging supplies are ready when needed. Communicate medication and supply orders to pharmacy buyer daily and/or when needed, staying within budgetary confines. Order appropriate quantities of medications needed for shortages. Store all medications to be packaged in an orderly fashion to ensure medication safety is maintained at all times. Maintain cleanliness in all packaging areas. All areas dusted/ cleaned weekly or more frequently if needed. Package appropriate amounts of medications to ensure all inventory areas are adequately stocked at all times.
* Utilize all quality assurance methods to assure medications are prepared, packaged, and stored under guidelines provided by regulatory agencies. Maintain all records of packaged items as required by regulatory agencies. Follow all department policies and procedures to ensure all packaged medications are checked appropriately prior to being added to any active inventory. Follow all department policies and procedures to minimize and detect any medication discrepancies. Ensure no out-of-date medications are stocked in any of the inventory areas.
* Contribute to the efficient operation of the department. Coordinate any priorities with staff concerning medication needs. Act as a contact with vendor maintenance personnel to ensure all devices are at continuous service. Analyze the robot, packaged meds in Med Carousel, and all packager reports and make at minimum bi-weekly robot adjustments for the number of rods per medication and at minimum quarterly robot rod additions and deletions to ensure devices run at maximum efficiency. Organize and process medication needs by priority to maintain optimal inventory efficiency.

The Position:
The Therapy Care Specialist will work with SoleoRx TCMC model and utilize national and local resources to facilitate high quality care of a patient with specialty pharmacy needs. The Therapy Care Specialist will work under the supervision of a Pharmacist to oversee logistics of a patient's dispense and prescription maintenance, assessment data capture, and serves as the point person to coordinate patient care across all layers of the patient care continuum while on service with Soleo Health. Responsibilities include:
Act as single point of contact for specialty patients and as liaison with Soleo branch personnel to coordinate timely medication dispense and delivery
Works under supervision of specialty pharmacist and/or branch pharmacist to capture assessment data, ascertain patients supply needs, and schedule new and refill medication deliveries
Run daily and weekly pharmacy reports as needed
Answer phones and warm transfer call to appropriate location, monitor incoming faxes, and monitor TCMC refill queues
Send orders to physicians for signature
Work with intake/reimbursement staff to maintain active patient insurance coverage and actively pursue authorizations and re-authorizations with the auth/billing staff at the branch level
Documentation of all patient interaction and care coordination in the designated system of record for clear and consistent communication
Complete therapy specific training as required

Monday-Friday 7:45am-4:15pm eastern time
Saturday rotation once a quarter
Fully onsite in Norcross
Requirements:
Prior experience in home infusion, compounding and/or specialty pharmacy required
High School Diploma or equivalent

Education/Experience:
High School diploma, or equivalent required.
Successful completion of an ASHP accredited technician training program or enrollment in a professional-related school preferred
Current CPhT certification through PTCB or NHA and active Georgia pharmacy technician license, or current enrollment in an accredited school of pharmacy with a current Georgia pharmacy intern license.
Must maintain certification and license through entire length of employment
Previous experience in a retail pharmacy, for a minimum of 2 years.

Performs receiving and storage of medications and supplies from vendors.
Performs the picking/packaging of supplies and medications for shipment to the customer home.
Participates in regularly scheduled inventory counts and complies with Soleo's formulary management program.
Obtains additional state technical licensure/registration as requested to support the geographic service area of the branch.
Schedule:
Must be able to work Full time, Monday-Friday between the hours of 9am-6pm, 40 hours per week
Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation
Must on the job experience IV compounding- examples: IVIG, antibiotics, TPN, etc. (minimum of 1 year)
Must be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Georgia
PTCB or NHA Certification- preferred
Requirements:
High school diploma (or equivalent) required
Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), or as required by the BOP
Minimum experience working as a technician in the pharmacy IV room of a hospital.
Prior technician experience with a home infusion company preferred
Current registration and ACPE requirements are met
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent sterile compounding technique
Basic to intermediate efficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

The Specimen Accessioner will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.
Work schedule:
Tuesday-Saturday 6:00pm-2:30am with a 30-minute lunch and with rotating holidays.
The hours/location may change/vary based on business need and/or the request(s) of your supervisor or management.

* Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
* Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
* Resolve and document any problem specimens
