LabCorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Processing and Accessioning team. The Specimen Accessioner will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:30pm - 10:30pm with rotating Saturday and holiday shifts
Location: Labcorp - 770 International Parkway, Sunrise, FL

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
* Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
* Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
* Accurately identify and label specimens
* Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
* Meet department activity and production goals
* Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
* Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
* Resolve and document any problem specimens
Requirements:
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* No relative experience required; 1-2 years preferred
* Previous medical or production experience is a plus
* Comfortable handling biological specimens
* Ability to accurately identify specimens
* Experience working in a team environment
* Strong data entry and organizational skills
* High level of attention to detail
* Proficient in MS Office
* Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
* Ability to pass a standardized color blind test

The Caregiver Med Passer, is responsible for providing the highest degree of quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe organized manner. Responsibilities:
Reads and documents in all communication logs and informs the nurse when needed
Effectively completes incident reports per company policy
Accurately dispenses, passes medications & documents in the MAR, absent of errors
Accurately assists residents with self-administration of medications
Accurately counts narcotics in accordance with company policy
Honors personhood by reading and knowing the Residents' Life Stories
Actively involved in the life enrichment program
Is compliant with company training requirements
Demonstrates a high level of safety and privacy of resident information in all work practices
Champions “follow-through” on all delegated tasks from the Director of Wellness
