Compensation
The range displayed reflects the range the company reasonably expects to pay for the position. The actual compensation offered to the selected individual(s) will depend on their relevant education, training, or experience, among other bona fide factors.
Expected Minimum Pay Rate USD $19.00/Hr. Expected Maximum Pay Rate USD $25.50/Hr. Responsibilities
Examples of duties include but are not limited to:
· Assisting customers
· Answering phones and operating the cash register in the Pharmacy
· Operating the computer to input data, look up refills, and check retail prices of prescription drugs
· Calling doctors' offices for authorization to refill prescriptions
· Receiving orders from patients and typing pharmacy labels
· Checking in merchandise and stocking shelves
· Conducting general housekeeping duties when needed
· Assisting the pharmacist with filling prescriptions and pulling prescription merchandise from shelves
Qualifications
Qualifications: Board of Pharmacy State License required.

* Assists with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat and orderly in condition and appearance.

Questions involving medication use or therapeutics must be referred to the pharmacist and good judgment is required when other types of information is provided by the technician.
The incumbent is responsible for entering medication orders into the pharmacy computer system; this involves maintaining and updating the patient pharmacy profile; discrepancies, interactions for outpatient prescriptions and all therapeutic questions are to be referred to the pharmacist. The incumbent prepares medication cassettes and delivers to nursing units throughout the hospital (inpatient only). The incumbent is expected to pull, prepare and label medications based on the orders entered by a pharmacist. The incumbent pulls and delivers medications for automated dispensing machines.
The incumbent is challenged to assist in the training of new technicians.
The incumbent will be required to work varying shifts and days to meet the needs of the department which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (Cost Center 200 only). Overtime may be required. The incumbent is expected to attend on a regular basis staff meetings, technician meetings, etc.
In addition to being competent to work in the inpatient & outpatient environments, incumbent is expected to be trained and have the ability to work in multiple areas. Summary
o Performs nuclear medicine imaging and non-imaging procedures for therapeutic, diagnostic and tracer studies. Assists radiologists and other specialists in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures. Provides procedure-related patient care and education. Maintains records and documentation of procedures.
Responsibilities
o Receives, handles, stores, prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals according to prescribed dose or protocol and in compliance with Quality Management Plan (QMP for NRC). Administration to patient is directly supervised by a Radiologist.
o Operates needed equipment to produce appropriate images and measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes in specified areas of the body.
o Explains and prepares patients for procedures and assists patient with proper positioning for imaging.
o Practices radiation protection procedures according to ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) for patients, self and others. Practices medical and surgical asceptic and sterile techniques.
o Documents patient assessment/history related to procedures and provides patient care and education to meet patient's physical and psychological needs.
o Performs and documents equipment quality control according to department protocols; recognizes and reports any malfunction or variation to supervisor for recommended service or replacement.
o Maintains manual and computerized patient, department, and hospital records. Initiates computer archive functions to store and/or retrieve patient information. Performs associated clerical tasks as needed.
o Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Required
o Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine or with Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
o State of Nevada license for Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
o o American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) / Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Healthcare Providers.

The Medication Technician is responsible for documenting, delivering and administering medicines to residents as prescribed by physician(s) with superior customer service and in accordance with all policies, procedures, government regulators and guidelines.
Responsibilities

Provide assistance at mealtime with selecting meals, serving, eating, and clearing trays
Transport residents as necessary assisting them into and out of bed, wheelchairs, etc. following
all safety/lifting and transferring techniques - escorting them to/from meals, activities, or
other transportation needs as requested or assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
A minimum of one year of work experience as a Caregiver or Medication Technician
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred
Active First Aid/CPR/BLS Certification required
Background clearances as required by government regulations

Responsible for maintaining a current accounting of all medications residents are taking and the documentation required for that process.
Responsible to report all change in status of residents as it relates to assisting with medications. Reports to: Health Services Director or Journey Program Director, as assigned.
As requested, maintain an inventory of all department supplies. Notify the Health Services Director or Journey Program Director timely and/or place supply orders, with a supervisor's approval, when supply levels reach a pre-designated threshold.
As directed, act as the main point of contact for physicians, family members and vendors in the absence of the Health Services Director or Journey Program Director.
At the direction of the Health Services Director or Journey Program Director, assist with department scheduling including covering call-offs, vacations and the elimination of overtime.
As required, update the Caregiver Monthly Assignment Journal, Medication Technician Med List and 24 Hour Communication Log.
Assists residents with their daily medications, treatments and resident care as assigned and within the scope of practice, policy and procedures and Title 22 Regulations.
Observe and verify that medication is ingested or applied as directed. Document any instance where prescribed medication is not administered, including reason(s) for refusal and notify supervisor and/or Executive Director.
Maintain accurate, complete and confidential resident medication and care records according to established procedure and state law.
Keep medicine carts and areas orderly, clean and appropriately stocked and locked. Maintain upkeep and cleanliness of medicine carts and medication rooms.
