The pharmacy team at Samaritan Health Services is looking for a Traveling Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in medication preparation and labeling activities. Other duties include performing a broad range of technical support functions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. This position is eligible for a $3.00 per hour float differential to be paid on hours worked. Travel will be between Samaritan Hospital Pharmacy sites in the mid-Willamette Valley and central Oregon Coast. What You'll Do: Enters patient data in the system including patient name, insurance, allergies, doctor and diagnosis. Enters the prescription in the system, selecting the brand, product/drug, and appropriate strength to align with the instructions given by the prescribing Provider. Fills or dispenses the product from the pharmacy stock and delivers to patient. Processes prescription refills verifying refill availability. Verifies product orders received with invoice and purchase order. Places a sticker on each item and places on the shelf.
