We're assisting our local employer, Hope Clinic, to search for a bilingual (Spanish) Certified Pharmacy Technician:
This position is responsible for the operations of pharmacy department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/ or necessary by the supervising pharmacist. The Pharmacy Technician will provide his/her expertise to assist operations and daily management of HOPE Clinic's Pharmacy Department. Pharmacy Technician will assist Pharmacy Manager ensure to comply with all requirements of federal and state pharmacy and drug laws, rules, and regulations, and provide proper customer service (phone, register, type and fill prescriptions in a timely manner).
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide elite customer service to our HOPE Clinic patients by greeting and answering questions;
Assist Pharmacy Manager manage 340B program and non-340B program medications;
Multi-task daily operations by answering phones, typing and selling prescriptions;
Understand third party insurance billing (prior authorizations/rejections);
Generating revenues by recording, calculating and issuing charges;
Processing prescriptions electronically and ensuring all information is accurate and complete;
Responding to the requests of patients and healthcare providers, answering their questions and referring various inquiries to the Pharmacist;
Sorting, stocking and labeling medications and monitoring inventory;
Maintaining records by recording and filing the prescriptions and orders of Physicians;
Complying with rules, regulations and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy, such as sanitizing work area and throwing trash daily;
Must be detail-oriented and reliable since the job has high responsibility;
Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions;
Point of Sale- follows proper procedures to prevent financial loss and follow applicable laws and regulations when making sales at register and complete sales at register in timely manner;
Conduct community outreach and provide retail, clinical, wellness, and other preventive healthcare services (i.e., immunizations), as needed;
Attend on-site/off-site community engagement activities, clinic events, and/or training as needed;
Perform other duties as assigned to support HOPE Clinic's Mission, Vision, and Values.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Multi-tasking skills required;
Ability to maintain confidentiality when interacting with patients and team members;
Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite/Google Suite;
Strong patient service along with the ability to develop excellent patient relationships;
Ability to communicate and work with all team members across multiple levels;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
Experience working with standard ERP/MRP systems;
Experience with Prior Authorizations preferred;
Experience interpreting compliance requirements and regulations is required;
Demonstrate a strong ability to be adaptable and flexible.
Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology.
Must successfully pass background check per Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulations;
Proven experience as pharmacy technician
Reliable for keen eye for detail
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Individual must be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Some years of college or a degree is a plus!
Must have active/current certification license in good standing and maintain it as required by law.
2-5 years of pharmacy retail experience and customer service
Previous experience working with auditors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies is a plus!
Understanding Pharmacy Inventory is a plus!
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Bilingual (Spanish) is required.
Above average skills in language ability as well as public speaking and writing.
Must have good transportation and a valid Texas Driver's license.

Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician under the direct supervision of the (Market) Manager/Director of Pharmacy or Registered Pharmacist - and according to the standards procedures-dispenses additives for IV and irrigating solutions, mixes IV additive solutions as required using aseptic technique with the laminar air flow hood, types labels, prepares and files charge slips, and performs other related duties.
Essential Functions
* Assists Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medication.
* Mixes pharmaceutical preparations, fills bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules, and prepares labels for bottles.
* Fills orders with correct medications. Prepares unit of use dosage when possible.
* Processes records of medication and equipment dispensed to patient, computes charges, and enters data in computer.
* Prepares intravenous (IV) packs.
* Generates required reports; pick i.v., production reports. Performs backup procedures correctly.
* Recycles product as appropriate. Changes prep and expiration date on recycled product.
* Dates times and initials all vials for reuse.
* Prioritizes work (i.e. stats made first). Delivers IVS to proper locations. Restocks shelves and rotates stock. Properly disposes of non-recyclable solutions. Maintains i.v. refrigerator temperature log.
* Receives and stores incoming supplies.
* Counts stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
* Returns medications to stock and rotates stock. Fills requisitions from Nursing floors in a timely fashion. Can calculate appropriate medication doses based on patient's age Adult and Geriatrics.
* Cleans equipment and sterilizes glassware according to prescribed methods.

The Position:
The Therapy Care Specialist will work with SoleoRx TCMC model and utilize national and local resources to facilitate high quality care of a patient with specialty pharmacy needs. The Therapy Care Specialist will work under the supervision of a Pharmacist to oversee logistics of a patient's dispense and prescription maintenance, assessment data capture, and serves as the point person to coordinate patient care across all layers of the patient care continuum while on service with Soleo Health. Responsibilities include:
Act as single point of contact for specialty patients and as liaison with Soleo branch personnel to coordinate timely medication dispense and delivery
Works under supervision of specialty pharmacist and/or branch pharmacist to capture assessment data, ascertain patients supply needs, and schedule new and refill medication deliveries
Run daily and weekly pharmacy reports as needed
Answer phones and warm transfer call to appropriate location, monitor incoming faxes, and monitor TCMC refill queues
Send orders to physicians for signature
Work with intake/reimbursement staff to maintain active patient insurance coverage and actively pursue authorizations and re-authorizations with the auth/billing staff at the branch level
Documentation of all patient interaction and care coordination in the designated system of record for clear and consistent communication
Complete therapy specific training as required
Hours:
Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
Saturday rotation once a quarter
Hybrid in Houston, must be able to come onsite
Requirements
Prior experience in home infusion, compounding and/or specialty pharmacy required
High School Diploma or equivalent

What Health System Pharmacy contributes to Cardinal Health Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective coordination of Cardinal Health's pharmacy operations that service acute care hospitals, hospital retail customers, ambulatory care and alternate site facilities, oncology and cardiology practices as well as retail customers.
Health System Pharmacy is responsible for providing customized pharmacy program solutions that reduce costs and improve patient care quality for hospitals, health systems and other integrated healthcare providers may also consult with and advise healthcare team on prescribed medications, supplies and related processes.
Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy at AMG Specialty Hospital - Clear Lake. We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Pharmacy Technician to work 20 hours a week. Schedule will vary between weekdays and some weekends. Hours of the facility are Monday-Friday are 8AM-4:30PM and weekends 7AM-1:30PM.
Job Summary
The Technician II, Health Systems Pharmacy provides assistance to the Pharmacist in the daily operations of the pharmacy. Activities include the preparation of and filling of prescriptions, taking pharmacy inventory and processing product returns. The Technician II, Health Systems Pharmacy ensures that all orders are reviewed by a registered pharmacist and records all activity in compliance with regulatory and company guidelines. This job frequently communicates with customers to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment of all orders.
Responsibilities
* Assists pharmacists in filling prescription orders as permitted by State Boards of Pharmacy.
* Prepares medication for dispensing, packaging and shipment.
* Takes inventory, places orders, checks in drugs and supplies, stocks shelves and removes out of date items from the inventory.
* Enters medical supply orders in pharmacy system.
* Communicates with all customers (patients, clinics, care-givers, physicians) in an amicable and professional manner.
* Processes returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.
* Inputs patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy information management system.
* Maintains knowledge of and abides by all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.
Qualifications
* High school degree or equivalent preferred
* State Pharmacy Technician license/registration required
* National pharmacy technician certification if applicable
* ACPE IV experience required
* In-patient hospital pharmacy experience highly preferred
* Flexibility in working schedule
* Ability to work in a group
* Strong verbal and written communication skills required
* Strong customer service skills required
* Comfortable performing repetitive motions/tasks is required
* Ability to manage several tasks at the same time; Ability to focus on tasks; Ability to evaluate operating conditions; Ability to exercise sound judgment
* Demonstrated ability to use technology such as computers, smart phones and tablets
* May require vendor credentialing
