As a new Pharmacy Technician, you are required to complete an extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program as well as satisfy all registration, licensing and certification requirements according to your State's Board of Pharmacy guidelines. Your Pharmacy Technician duties will be restricted by your manager at first until you complete all necessary requirements. Once you satisfy all requirements and expand your Pharmacy Technician duties, you have the opportunity to continue to build your clinical, technical and insurance knowledge and expertise by leveraging available tools and training to build your pharmacy career.

Responsibilities

Adheres to all accreditation, OSHA, FDA, state, local and federal regulations, and USP 797 and USP 800 standards relevant to infusion pharmacy and home medical equipment
Documents all temperature logs, pressure and humidity monitors, records all sterility testing done in the clean room in compliance with company policies and procedures, and USP 797 and USP 800 standards
Documents all activities on the appropriate logs

Qualifications
Successful completion of an approved/accredited Pharmacy Technician training program; IV certification preferred
Registered Pharmacy Technician license in state of practice per state regulations
National Pharmacy Technician Certification as required by the state board of pharmacy in state of practice
1-3 years of related pharmacy experience in a home care setting, retail or pharmacy setting, preferred
At least 1 year of aseptic preparation of infusion-related pharmaceuticals in a hospital or home infusion setting preferred
General knowledge of drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and aseptic techniques

Overview

Assists with management of drug inventory and other supplies. Reviews and places wholesaler/outside vendor orders and follows up problems. Checks orders received against packing slip, places stickers on items, places items into stock, rotates stock, and organizes storage areas.

PRIMARY PURPOSE
Our pharmacy clerks help our customers in every way they can. They assist pharmacist in delivering outstanding customer experience, maintain confidentiality of customer and company information, and operate the pos systems. They actively assist the pharmacist under their direct supervision in most phases of prescription filling in accordance with current laws, state regulations, ethics and company policies. What you will do
Assist pharmacists in daily operations, including dispensing, packaging, and labeling medications in compliance with all regulations.
