The full time Pharmacy Technician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Ca will perform a variety of tasks under the supervision of a pharmacist. What's this role all about?
Prepares, delivers, and distributes medications in an accurate and timely manner to appropriate care areas according to policies and procedures, while at the same time prioritizing workflow and maintaining required documentation

Effectively uses the electronic medical record to support patient care

Communicates effectively with members of the healthcare team and patients, and willingly participates in new initiatives and tasks as needed to support patient care

Minimum Qualifications:
1. At least one (1) year of inventory management in Home Infusion Pharmacy or Hospital is preferred.

Job Overview
The pharmacy Technician will assist PACE Clinical Pharmacists at assigned PACE locations to support the delivery of safe, effective medication therapy to PACE program participants. The Pharmacy Technician will directly support the Medication Management Therapy interactions that the PACE Clinical Pharmacists carry out. The Pharmacy Technician will have direct patient contact to facilitate clinical pharmacy appointments, medication reconciliations, pill box refills, patient follow-up, and clerical duties to support the efficiency of the PACE clinical pharmacists.
Minimum Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent.
Active Pharmacy Technician Certification through the California State Board of Pharmacy is required.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician is required.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with senior populations, preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Position Overview/Project Details:
This position requires a California-licensed Pharmacy Technician working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. The technician will be responsible for the packaging, preparation, and sterile compounding of intravenous medications as well as injectable medications, including chemotherapy and other biohazardous drugs. All duties must be performed in accordance with USP and standards, institutional protocols, and safety guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
At least 6 months of performing related duties as a pharmacy technician. Need candidates with hospital experience, not retail experience.
Licensed pharmacy technician license in good standing with California Board of Pharmacy
Minimum Education:
High School or equivalent or Post High School vocational/specialized training or Graduation from a foreign school of Pharmacy
