Job Description
The CMOP program provides prescription mailings for veterans and other patients. Services being sought will be utilized to assist in supporting CMOP's mission by preparing prescriptions and packages in an accurate, timely, and cost-effective manner without disruption in services or production.
ProSidian seeks a PharmacistTechnician to support an engagement with The Veteran's Affairs Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP). Services shall include, but are not limited to, transcription of prescriptions, performing pharmaceutical dispensing, prescription reconstitution, patient consultation, quality improvement and supply control duties
This is a

and the PharmacistTechnician services shall be performed at: 5000 S 13th St, Leavenworth, KS 66048. The selected candidate is expected to fulfil the Service Tasks to a satisfactory level of professionalism and quality.

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
Pharmacy Technician Services Task:
Call-up patients using the queuing system provided - using two patient identifiers, patient's full name and date of birth, fill and dispense new and refill prescriptions to patients and fill and dispense hand-written and provider-ordered entry prescriptions with correct quantity; check accuracy of label and affix auxiliary labels as required
Records - the candidate shall be responsible for creating, maintaining, and disposing of only those government required records.
Pre-package high usage medication in designated quantities and log medications under the supervision of the Pharmacist.
Operate and perform routine cleaning and maintenance on pharmacy automated counting/dispensing equipment, as instructed by pharmacy staff.
Perform daily light cleaning of countertops, supply shelves, fallen medications, disposal of medications in the right way, and cleaning / sanitization of reconstitution/compounding area.
Mandatory Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to plan, organize, and manage functions and staff to meet program objects;
Knowledge of the military healthcare organizational structure, major issues, policies, procedures, and operations related to the management of the healthcare delivery systems;
Maintain current knowledge and skills acquired through approved training and ability to learn new systems and processes;
The candidate shall read, understand, speak, and write English fluently to be able to communicate clearly with patients; and
The candidate shall have typing skills and be computer literate with Microsoft Windows/Office.

Job Duties:
Responsible for day-to-day coordination of contract pharmacist staff activities.

Requirements:
Certified Technicians (CPhT) shall hold a current valid certification by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).
Non-certified technicians must have 6 months of experience (unless otherwise authorized by the respective CMOP) in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting; or be a graduate of an Academic Technician Training Educational Program. Not all pharmacy technicians will be required to be certified or registered (unless required by State Guidelines); however, certification is highly encouraged as several processes and certain equipment will require certified technicians.
Must be able to understand how to perform basic mathematical calculations
Have basic typing and PC computer skills

Qualifications
Successful completion of an approved/accredited Pharmacy Technician training program; IV certification preferred

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for supporting the Pharmacist in the accurate and timely fulfillment of prescriptions. Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform packaging, labeling, record keeping, and other tasks associated with prescription fulfillment and dispensing.
Contact physicians to obtain missing or necessary prescription information.
Collect and verify pertinent patient information to ensure accurate processing.
Assist the Pharmacist in maintaining procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality.
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, providing support with order placement, system navigation, and product location.
Accurately count, label, and prepare prescriptions according to established protocols.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with regulatory standards.
Deliver high-quality customer service, fostering positive relationships with patients at the pharmacy counter.
Support inventory management by ensuring timely processing and stock control to improve operational efficiency.
Use pharmacy management software for accurate and efficient prescription processing.

AuBurn Long Term Care Pharmacy has an opening for a dedicated professional to join our team. Located in Olathe, KS, our closed-door pharmacy serves local nursing homes, group homes and other similar facilities. We have an immediate need for an experienced Full-Time LTC Pharmacy Technician. This is up to 40 hours/week. Typical schedule is five 8-hour shifts (10am-6:30pm) Monday - Friday, however we now have 10 hour shifts available.
The listed opportunity for a pharmacy technician mainly includes preparing and filling bubble cards and medications for daily deliveries and cycle fill with opportunity to learn and rotate in other areas of production (running automation robots, sterile and non-sterile compounding, and assisting our nursing facilities with cycle exchange). Must be able to lift up to 30lb, stand, climb stairs, and walk throughout shift. Candidates must display great customer service skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to communicate effectively throughout shift. Must be a Kansas Registered Pharmacy Technician as well as being a Nationally Certified Technician. Previous work experience in a Long Term Care pharmacy is highly preferred. We are willing to train the right person.
