Repackages bulk medications (oral, injectable, etc) into unit dose per departmental policy and procedure. Enters charges/credits and restocks returns accurately and consistently. Provides prompt and courteous service. Receives incoming calls and prioritizes bases on urgency or nature of requests. Audits and signs out all controlled substances in accordance with state and federal guidelines and organizational policies. Identifies and corrects discrepancies and reports unusual usage pattern and trends. Completes medication area inspections. Removes and documents expired medications. Assists with ordering, managing and monitoring drug inventory in a fiscally responsible manner and is cognizant of appropriate PAR levels in all medication storage areas.
